Alte Dorfecke — Restaurant in Berlin

I would like to say that the service here is great or their food is delicious, but I didn't got to even read the menu. It is actually very sad when after your long day of discovering the city and just walking and walking from museum to museum you find just the perfect place, it looks delicious, home made and it has great reviews, you get lost and spend an hour trying to get to this place but you keep going because you feel this is good and traditional. So I finally get there and it smells delicious, the other customers seem to be enjoying their meals, so I just tell the first person I see that I want to eat in english, because I don't speak any german and suddenly he just answers in german, I thought I got it and I sat down in the closest table, he went to serve some beers and when he returns he just starts not exactly to yell at me, but stronger and of course I don't get a thing, I thought it was because of the table, so I pick my stuff and I make some signs to make him know that I wanna know if it's possible to sit on the other part. I didn't get a thing of what he said, but his tone and corporal language were talking, I was being kicked out of the place, I even remember another customer looking at him in a strange way.

I don't ask for bilingual staff, but if they are at such an important touristic city, at least they should be a bit open minded. This man just needed to point out a table where I could seat and give me the menu. I left the place...

Die Alte Dorfecke ist in Alt-Tempelhof 61, in 12103 Berlin, gelegen.

Ich habe heute dort Berliner Kindl getrunken und ein Rindergulasch verzehrt. Beides war sehr delicious. Der Wirt war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr wertvoll. Allerdings war die Heizung nicht der Jahreszeit angepaßt. Auf derHerrentoilette war es sehr kalt, die Heizung war auf Null gesetzt Hinzu kommt, sie war außerdem noch verblomt. Dieses Lokal kann und darf ich keinesfalls empfehlen.

Ihre Argumentation wir müssen sparen ist an sich nicht stichhaltig, und wird von Ihnen selbst als ad absurdum geführt. Das ist kranhafter Geiz Die anderen Räumlichkeiten waren ja auch nur völlig unzureichend beheizt. Fakt ist jedoch, jedoch, wir haben zurzeit eine Heizperiode. Da besteht die Heizpflicht (LG Berlin 91, 573). Demzufolge sind 20 - 22 Grad angesagt.

Auch die Beleuchtung war völlig unzureichend und war vom Geiz gesteuert.

Hinzu kommt die Tatsache, daß der gierige Wirt diverse Gäste den Zutritt zum Restaurant verwehrt hat.,mit der Begründung nur ein Getränk bestellen gibt es bei ihm nicht. Wir leben vom Essen. Einen Kuchen derartiges Unfug hatte ich bis per dato noch gar nicht gehört. Nach unserem Handelsrecht ist jeder Gast, der ein Lokal betritt, der muß ein Getränk oder eine Speise bestellen. An jedem Bier verdient der jeweilige Betreiber, die Gewinnspanne von 1.10 bis 1,50 Euro. Den Gästen denken derartiges widerfährt sollte sich dringend an das Gewerveaufsichtsamt wenden! Auch das permanente nicht renovieren deutet auf Geiz hin. In der Bibel, im 1. TIMOTHETHEUS 6,10 steht: "Denn Geldgier ist die Wurzel alles Bösen."

Unfortunately, you are not served if you are not going to have food - although there was plenty of free tables on the terrace - my lovely boyfriend just needed to go #2 so we were not going to eat (just had a cheese sandwich from the gas station a few minutes before). However, the food looked amazing on the plates of other guests and I am looking forward to coming back and...
