I am a regular customer here, coming here virtually every week, but today (02.09.2025) at around 12:20 something unacceptable happened. I went to order something and the man at the cash register simply laughed in my face. He seemed to be laughing at my voice, although it is not clear (perhaps I spoke in a very gentle way or he found it somehow amusing). In any case it hurt me very deeply, and in the past this particular man had also been rude to me before. Then when I made my order, he charged me higher than the price advertised (€6 instead of 5). When I pointed out that the Linsen Suppe was €5 he seemed not to understand and said something like "ok, €11 euros please", and was not cooperative, speaking to me in what I found to be a quite aggressive manner. It was humiliating to be in the queue and subjected to this kind of behaviour. Then I noticed that he perhaps had not heard me correctly in my initial order, since I saw on some receipt that "sukuk" was written. At that point he accepted my €5 for the Linsen Suppe but provided me with no receipt, saying "it was fine without". It was a very unprofessional and humiliating experience. The whole experience will not stop me from going to this restaurant, because it is really good, and the staff are very friendly and warm, and I have gone here almost every week for at least 3 years. What will make me remove this review is an apology, and then I will put a 5 star review on its place. It hurt me very deeply and was so...

A great price for hot, tasty, quality food with generous portions. I have visited often and tried the hummus and the babaganoush both served with pita and fresh and pickled vegetables, fried pomme / fries, also falafel and halloumi sandwhiches, the items that are still less than 5 euro compared to jacked up prices at other places, and when really hungry or sharing with friemds or family you can get big teller (plates) most less than 10 euro unless your getting huge ones. I saw the Foul and Musabaha on other tables, people tearing large swaths of pita, and dipping them into flavorful, creamy bowls topped with hearty Fava and chic peas. That looked great, and I will need to try on another visit.. The hot linsen ( lentil) soup with lemon wedge is a perfect warming hydrator for a cold day or night. Immune system booster. Generally, it's a busy neighborhood spot, but once inside, you see the well marked visual menu and can decide by what looks delicious very easily even if not familiar yet with this type of food and give your order, which is quickly prepared. They call out for you to pick up, but also saw someone was serving tables for people ordering large platters and small dishes, en masse. A plus: I always seem to find a seat. I think that the pricing is a huge attractor. Everyone can rave about an authentic place that offers a price on good satisfying food that is budget...

My experience at Azzam restaurant in Berlin was nothing short of delightful. This eatery offers authentic Syrian cuisine that is not only delicious but also served in generous portions. The atmosphere is not that fancy but it isn't Important in comparison to the food you will get.

One of the standout dishes I tried was the cheese manakish. The combination of perfectly baked dough and savory cheese was a true treat for the taste buds. Additionally, the msabbaha, a classic Middle Eastern dish made with chickpeas was incredibly flavorful and satisfying.

However, the real star of the show was the falafel. Azzam restaurant undoubtedly serves the best falafel in Berlin. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully spiced on the inside. It's clear that great care is taken in preparing these delightful bites.

If you're looking for an authentic taste of home-style Syrian cuisine in Berlin, Azzam restaurant is the place to be. The combination of delicious food, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend trying their cheese manakish, msabbaha, and, of course, their fantastic falafel. It's an experience that'll leave you...

The food was very good and fresh. The actual logisitcs can prove to be a slight challenge as a newcomer like myself. First, there are no servers so be prepared to walk right up to the counter, order and pay. If you aren't taking away the food; they'll give you pita in a basket. Grab a seat while you wait. Please note you simply need to go up about 5-10 minutes after ordering to grab your food. The staff aren't rude at all; they are probably exhausted! The volume of people is intense so just be confident and remember you are stepping into THEIR culture so respect them, they'll respect you. There is complimentary tea to enjoy while you wait. It is very group/kid friendly. I had the falafel, halloumi and hummus platter - amazing!

This Arab restaurant is a true hidden gem, offering both takeout and sit-down options — and even when it’s busy (which it often is), you’ll almost always find a seat since people eat and go. The food? Incredibly fresh and deeply authentic, like a warm trip back home with every bite. From Palestinian classics to Syrian flavors to Lebanese staples, every dish is made with care and tradition. The spices, the textures, the aromas — it all comes together in perfect harmony, capturing the true taste of the Middle East. A must-visit for anyone craving real, soulful Arab food.
