I have been to Berlin several times and therefore I have stayed in different areas of Berlin and different accommodations. This 3-star hotel is by far one of my fave. My check in around 10:30pm was great. The guy at the counter was very friendly and very helpful. When I came back down to the reception after I refreshed myself I met the nightshift and this guy just topped everything. We had a chat and you could hear that he absolutely loved his job. He welcomed us again with open arms and gave some information about the area.

Our great size room was clean and it may sounds odd but the pillow/ blanket had a fresh smell. Usually you smell clinical odours on sheets but this one is different - in a great way.

The incl breakfast concludes sooo much variety. You will find fresh fruits (🍉 🍌 🍎 🍐) rolls and bread, vegan speads, juices, tea, coffee. Just simple everything to get loaded with energy for a day. Also here each and every staff member where friendly and helpful. My opinion: happy engaged staff shows and great leadership hence why I mention the atmosphere. The location is just perfect. You will find everything like grocery shops around. The elevator was broken on the 2nd night. I was able to handle that but felt sorry for the elderly. Stil I made the most out of this situation as I helped out a couple. I carried their luggage upstairs so that on return I recharged my...

BEDBUGS - STAY AWAY! We found clear indicators that our hotel room had a bed bug infestation (dozens of little dark dots on the mattress covers on both mattresses, as well as sticky dark spots on the bedframe). I also got the impression that management/staff know about the problem but are not handling it responsibly. The spots on the mattress covers should have been noticed when someone changed the sheets. The person managing reception also had a three-paragraph letter promising a refund 'because of problems with the cleanliness with the bedding' (clearly phrased that way to not admit the true problem) ready to go in no time, leading me to think that they have it pre-saved for cases like this -- meaning they have had cases like ours multiple times.||I was refunded the money for the room -- but that's clearly not enough and they are clearly not handling this responsibly, so I would advise everyone to stay clear of this place!||(This was also a reminder for us that it's really worth it to always do a bed bug check in a hotel room -- I'm so glad I did so I'm not unwittingly carrying bed bugs into my apartment from...

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ludwig van Beethoven and hope to return! The comfortable room with a lovely view of Huxleys Neue Welt (where I attended a show on the night of my stay), the delicious continental breakfast and helpful staff—all of this contributed to the experience. The location, too, was ideal, right across the street from the concert and close to the subway, with lots of restaurants and a lovely park nearby.
