Bergamotto — Restaurant in Berlin

Nice little Italien restaurant in the heart of Friedau. Hav'nt been there before so I decided to just try it and walked in. The restaurant has it's best places outside on the wide station square. It's quite cozy inside as well. The staff is very polite and just taking care of you. The food is really good. I had vitello tonato and beef medaillons. I've changed from the side order potatoes to spinach. No problem. Just done and it tasted really good.

So why only 4 stars? Because the backyards is just a bit messy. Worn out. It's a pity that this nice little restaurant suffers from such a uncozy backyard. Put some lights up, clean the area and renovate the roof and the plants area. It could be a fantastic garden.... But it isn't...

So overall : go there. But don't take a table in...

It one of the worst experiences I had in the restaurant. First, considering the price of a truffle pizza (24€), I did expected much more from it. In the end, pizza was ok, with few drops of truffle oil, so I asked for more, which was excepted with annoyance from the server. The server was reacting rude towards my friend, to which he brought wrong food, and when she rejected it, he's reaction was: "it's still the same thing, it has mushrooms." And:"can I serve now other tables". Also the cook was rude. I wouldn't recommend this place. Prices are too high for what they are offering and...

When I used to live in Friedenau, I would buy pizza from here from time to time. My favorite was Bianca. It was one of my favorite pizzas in Berlin. Unfortunately, things have changed. Not only they removed Bianca from the menu, but their quality and taste decreased to -at most- average. Te pastry was very bland, the pizza did not seem to have spent a good time in the oven, the tomato sauce tasted like the ones that are sold on supermarket. The only nice thing was the burrata. What a shame. Maybe they changed cook...
