First to say that I have been here before and changed my review of 3 stars of an average restaurant to 1 star after my last experience.
I had a booking for 19:30 (which I did online through their booking system, one would believe that this will leave small room for misunderstandings), went there, and the waitress (who was astonishingly rude, not to say a rude word myself) told us that they messed up and had the table for 19.00 so she had to give it away. All of this without any apologies or surprise on her tone, what made us think that she never actually booked our table. She just offered to us (oh, surprise) one of their tables outside that was free (and wet by the rain). After I showed her the booking confirmation that I did online, she sent us away with a «better luck next time». Also she doesn't speak a word of German (she forced us already a few times we were there to speak in English), which is surprising given that she works in hospitality in Germany.
Dishes are meh. Wine will give you stomach ache. But if you look for a cheaper Italian without caring too much about the quality (and speak English) this is your place.
Not to say that won't be coming back not recommend this place to anyone in my...
Read moreI’m in love with Italian cuisine and reading the reviews of Bottega n.6 I was really happy to try it, expecting delicious food. The worst was the sauce, which just felt like water.. the pasta itself was homemade and nice but the bad mushrooms watery sauce really wasted the dish. My friend also did not really enjoy his dish. The waiter was nice and the place is really cute, but I can’t hide my disappointment after reading such reviews and ending up eating...
Read moreBottega are as cool and kind as they are talented when it comes to Italian cuisine - and the service and food reflects this down to earth culture. Offering a small but well crafted menu, Bottega combine some modern Italian ideas (pasta sauces, such as the white wine and cheese gnocchi, in larger portions befitting of a main) while still staying true to form and not messing with the classics: the caprese salad is always made with genuine buffalo and the freshest tomatoes and basil. It's not a hyper (nor high horsed) traditional Italian restaurant and it's all the better for it: go here when you want to relax and yet rest assured that you're in good hands. Really, for this price tag,...
