My mom and I, we ordered two dishes (malai kofta and butter chicken + 2 bhatura’s + raita)
To my dismay, despite my father being friendly with the owner and often indulging in his dishes (praising his customer service), I was SHOCKED at the food and attitude served along side it!
1.)The restaurant was empty, despite it being 15:00pm; probably a good indicator the restaurant and food are mediocre to say best
2.)The restaurant was freezing, as the door was wide open and the heating off (?) When we requested the door to be shut, the waiter replied ‘soon’ and proceeded to leave us freezing, going in and out of the open doors. The attitude was dismissive and indifferent. I gave up and closed the door which was met with stares of disapproval from the drivers and staff members. … was I supposed to eat wearing my coat?
3.) The food; Was shockingly BLAND. The koftas in the malai kofta were squishy and flavourless,- the sauce not even creamy or salty. It tasted like nothing. No nuts sprinkled on top either. The butter chicken tasted like tomato sauce. It didn’t even taste Indian. There was seemingly no spice and the meat was of the processed cube variety. Honestly the worst Indian food I have eaten to date. Might I add, I am Indian and both cook and enjoy home made butter chicken, therefore I know what it should taste like. This what was served today was a DISGRACE to Indian food.
4.)Lastly, service and payment; The waiter at no point asked if we are enjoying our meal or if we need anything else. When it came to payment, I pulled out my card and asked if I can pay by card. My man started mumbling and said he prefers cash. I said I haven’t got, I only have card. My mom then pulled out cash and offered it. I asked the waiter not to accept it, as I wanted the lunch to be my treat. He proceeded to ignore my request and snatched the money from my mom. I was very upset and asked him if they do not accept card? He said ‘yes we do’ to which I responded then why won’t he take my card? He pointed at drivers outside and again mumbled some nonesense. Sadly for him, I wasn’t letting this go. I asked again, why won’t he take card, seeing as he himself said they accept it? And lastly, why did he take cash off of my mom? He then said ‘we take cash, just not today’ to which I responded ‘why not today?’ I genuinely wasn’t being rude but was growing irritated and wanted to know his reasoning. He wasn’t particularly nice, trying to brush me off. He then answered: ‘if you told me nicely you want to pay card, I would have accepted it’ I then replied: ‘please tell me HOW MUCH NICER I can request to pay by card?’ At no point was I being rude. I also explained that if he isn’t accepting card today for whatever stupid reason, he should tell us this at the entrance, not spring it upon us at the end and expect us to be fine with it. He then slammed his wallet shut and with full blown attitude exclaimed; ‘FINE YOU WANT TO PAY CARD I’LL TAKE YOUR CARD’, however he had already taken my moms money very happily. I told him I am unhappy he’s making my poor mom pay, that this is not a way to treat a customer. He said: ‘it’s ok’ and kept repeating ‘it’s fine, it’s fine’ I exclaimed; ‘it isn’t fine, I’m unhappy’ to which he simply turned around and ran away into the kitchen to hide. The staff at the front were just simply gawking at me and my mom. We left without saying goodbye, shocked at the atrocious food and disgusting waiter behaviour. Once again, my family has always favoured this restaurant and are personal friends with the owner; for what reason, frankly after todays events, I am still unsure. I will certainly NEVER visit this restaurant again. Shocking and disgusting. Honest tip from my heart; Save your money and...
Read moreAVOID. Sadly the worse Indian cuisine we have experienced and an embarrassment to class themselves as 'authentic' Indian food. No welcome upon arrival, just sour faces, and pointing from a distance, a table for us to sit. Waiters were rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. Pointing and rushing us whilst we tried to place our order and then dumping the poppadoms on to the table. Food was tasteless, and some dishes tasted of salt and nothing else. Fish smelled rotten, served onion rings as onion bajis, naan bread was like supermarket bought dough, BBQ sauce and tasteless yogurt served as chutneys. Zero care has been taken when making food. The atmosphere was really unpleasant (we were the only customers as well). The owner should change profession as he is clearly not fit for the food & beverage trade and should really feel ashamed. To make things worse it was Christmas day! We went there based on Google reviews, looking back, all the 5* reviews are clearly fabricated. Our biggest regret was not leaving when we saw their miserable faces upon arriving. What a way to ruin a family's...

I ordered Butter Chicken and Butter Naan from this restaurant today, and the experience was absolutely horrible.
First of all, the food arrived open and spilled all over the delivery bag — even the delivery person confirmed it was like that when picked up. Completely unacceptable and unhygienic.
When we tried to eat, the butter naan was thick, dry, and inedible — it felt like it wasn’t even made for human consumption. I had requested the butter chicken to be spicy, but it was so overly sweet and that after this caused me stomach pain — and I’m currently pregnant, so this was especially worrying.
This was my first and definitely last order from this place. It’s not just disappointing — it’s a serious health hazard. Please do not order from here if you care about your health. It’s not about the money; it’s about safety and basic...
