oh i am CHARMED.

i came here to book a table for my birthday celebration very last minute (day before) and they confirmed it on the spot no fuss. i asked if i could bring a cake and they said of course.

on the day when i showed up they had reserved the perfect amount of chairs (15) around a cluster of tables per my request and labelled the tables (with cute yellow post its) with my name.

the bartender was LOVELY—she came to the table to take orders regularly, brought us free popcorn, followed by free homemade shots (delicious), played stevie wonder’s happy birthday and taylor swift’s 22 when we did the cake, and continued to take orders, clear glasses, and relight table candles even though there were other guests.

the atmosphere is impeccable—sheetlike window panes, homemade drinks, soft lighting, board games, wooden tables and chairs.

This is a nice spot for a casual drink with friends. Board games are available and drinks are very good. The experience was great until the end when I asked to pay in German and the member of staff was deliberately obtuse in allowing me to speak German; repeatedly replied to me in English and continued to interrupt me with 'was' when I persisted in German. My partner is a native speaker and saw no issue with how I asked and I had to unwillingly resort to her speaking on my behalf due to her native accent. It's a very good comfy place where you can chill with your friends for hours. Good music, good people. They even give a lot of free tap water 😝 that's the best part.

You can bring your own games like Uno, monopoly and they have some games with them too. However, it's suggested to get there early if you have a huge group of friends. Early as in by 22.30, 23 to get a decent place for a group of 4 or more, and if you wanna sit for a longer time!! I've heard people can smoke and smoke up...
