I understand that rating a restaurant badly because of service is not always fair but when my experience is so much impacted by staff treatment, I think exceptions should be made. When we entered, the woman working there was quite disappointed, to say the least. She looked to have a terrible mood and reluctantly pointed us to a table. To be fair I don’t think it was anything personal because when the next group came and she had to move a table for them she was rolling her eyes and sighing and talking to herself. Then she lectured us about the food impolitely as an answer to our simple question about the type of meat they use for a dish. The whole time needless to mention, no smile or any polite gesture to resemble a reasonable restaurant hosting culture. The food was good, my fish and chips was nicely fried and had a good crisp but was a bit lacking salt (the fish was also a bit dry for a traditional fish and chips, but I like it that way). We tried the Aubergine caviar, marvellous, the cauliflower that felt a bit re heated, and the tartare made out of prime rib eye and perfectly balanced, I tried a glass of simple Cotes du Rhone AOC, that surprisingly was aired and flavoured.
