I’m a Brit and I love an Indian curry! I was told by a few friends here in Berlin that it’s not the best place in the world to find a good Indian curry (they clearly had too many bad experiences previously) but after seeing some good reviews about Simran I wanted to give it a try - and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. There was a good selection of vegan options too which was great for me! Unfortunately this tastes like all the other odd tasting Indian food places in Berlin which I think all must have the same bizarre supplier of spices and meats?

Beautiful, calm, and quick. Classic indian flavors with a Northern European style base curry base (strong coriander, cumin, little less turmeric I think than what you see in Carribean curry bases). Actually spicy, if you like spicy curry. I would bet a good conversation could even get you "make me sweat" spicy if you have an Asian or Spicy-American taste.
