Tônis — Restaurant in Berlin

Hands down the best vietnamese restaurant in Berlin. Must try thier black bean prawns, they will take you on a magical trip to wonderland. Staff is super friendly and altough they were not very good with English they made their best effort to help us select the right option. They also serve complimentary jasmine tea which is very soothing. Price to poriton ratio is also quite adequate. For muslims, this restaurant is at the heart of halal food junction (Turmstrasse) therefore (or maybe the owner is muslim) they buy halal meat. But to be on the safe side always ask for a halal certificate from the chef and they'll be happy to...

2 stars only for the taste. From the pictures you can see the dimension of a plate of 8,50€ I think is unbelievable to make the stomach of a normal person satisfied. I ask to my self, what cost to them to make the plate a bit more bigger and probably having a bit more success in them life. I would guess that they trow away the food every day. For me is really anti marketing, this action to don’t make client surprised for positive things. I don’t know if is only the take away like that, but even more, the take away has also to be a way to take the client back and not the client...

Prices were good for a bowl of Pho. Fast service with complimentary tea. Had a nice Vietnamese atmosphere inside.

Taking a point off because the food had like ZERO flavor to it. Boring. I had to dump sriracha into the pho just to give it a kick. I get the food is designed for a western palate, which means a less spicy taste, but give it SOME spicy flavor! I was very disappointed with that.

As someone who has been to Vietnam a few times, I was expecting more in terms of the food’s flavor. But overall, worth going to if one wants...
