A cozy and beautiful cafe located opposite to S-Bahn that offers a variety of pastries and drink for you to savour. We were welcomed by a pleasant smiling staff at the counter who took our order. We shared a hot chocolate & a cinnamon bun, both of which tasted really good. However the cinnamon bun deserves a special mention for tasting just perfect. The cafe only accepts card payments and there is chess board with a chess clock available if you are a chess enthusiast. The place also offers space for if you are one of those “work from a cafe” enthusiasts. Overall, a real cosy space for work, a game of chess or a coffee date with your loved one!

Really nice cafe with laptop friendly policy. Cool decoration, some chairs a less comfortable than others. The have a big outside area with several tables and parasols. Inside area pretty large with many tables and at the back it’s quiet and you can even take calls. I really like that there is music but the level is not high so you can have a nice conversation or work well. I had an ice matcha with oat milk (5,4€ I found it slightly expensive) and a cinnamon rol (3,2€) my fiend order a sandwich and a coffee which look good. Staff was friendly. Order at the counter, it can be a bit slow if there’s more people. No cash accepted

This place is special. It's hipster style, the furniture isn't quite classic for a cafe. But the food and coffee they do is amazing and they're always very friendly and motivated. They've improved their processes over the years that I know them now and became a professionally operated business with a stake in high quality products. Just try the banana bread! Delicious 😋 Not a bar but a very great cafe 😉

No Laptops, No Sense

A work café that doesn’t let you work on weekends? That's the new reality here. Their spiel about taking a break to "connect" is just code for "we want more money." It's a slap in the face to their regulars who've been sipping (overpriced) coffee and typing away for years. I mean, charging north of 7€ for a cheese sandwich is already pushing it, but this?

I’ve been loyal to this spot because it was a perfect place to power through my weekend to-dos. Now, I walk in to an empty space where my laptop and I are suddenly persona non grata. They’ve cleared out the joint, not with a bang, but with a misguided policy.

Here's my straight-up, no-charge advice:

Implement a sensible reorder policy - say, a coffee or a bite every couple of hours for the laptop crowd. Designate an area for work. It'll make it easier to monitor and maintain a steady flow of purchases. Consider a 10€ flat rate for laptop users. Make it redeemable against their orders so everyone's happy.

If you want a place that gets the work-café balance right, skip this spot’s weekend disconnect and head to Holy Café on Sonnenallee. They've figured out that good business means keeping the Wi-Fi on and the...

Closes extremely early, not a bar in the late hours. Inconveniences me all the time when I have to change locations at 6 pm. You can see in the statistics that there are usually still a lot of people in at the place when they close up who get kind of told to go now, because they want to close. Shame really.

Their hipstery interior is mostly really uncomfortable, with high tables next to sofas and chairs that don’t fit the table sizes. They could have really put a lot more thought into proportions when thinking what kind of chair fits what kind of table height. The power outlet situation is also horrible in this place. Not each table has a socket, and if one is nearby it’s still inconveniently far away. I can’t tell what this place is trying to be. Mediocre to work at and okay to meet people. A lot of wasted potential.

Coffee is decent. Food is good. But that’s the least a Café should have to stay...

I've been here a few times and every time I'm welcomed with bored or blank expressions followed by "yes?". How can you create a cozy environment when your staff are like that and atmosphere of the cafe is completely cold and sterile? I hoped for a slightly friendlier experience considering it was the start of a new year, but no. As soon as the girl behind the counter took my order I almost changed my mind and left. How can you expect people to tip when you're greeted with that? How can you expect people to return when the coffee is luke warm and impossible to finish. After 1 sip I knew it was too cold, but I couldn't face going back and dealing with the rude and useless employees. It's just coffee guys, it's not that hard to get it right. I usually give places a chance to redeem themselves but after probably the 4th time here, this is the last time I would ever go back to this place. no...
