Velicious Cafe — Restaurant in Berlin

It's so satisfying to be able to support a café that so closely aligns with my ideals regarding zero waste, ethics, and seasonal, regional produce. I love the attention to detail, the children's corner was cute, and the vegan baked goods - especially the brownies and the cake (Zupfkuchen) - were amazing. Unfortunately, the café is relatively small, and I hope that expanding, or a possible move to a bigger premises, is on the cards because it was well visited when my husband, daughter and I were there last Sunday afternoon. It's clear that there is a lot of interest! My only criticism is that there is no restroom for paying customers (as I said, a move or expansion would be great!) - instead, you get a little sticker to take to the café on the opposite side of the road if you need the loo! This was especially annoying for us with a child who is being potty trained - it's not that easy to tell a little kid to wait and hold it in while you rush across the road (in the middle of...

I recently visited "Velicious," a vegan cafe in Berlin, and had a mixed experience. While the baked goods were exceptional, particularly the croissant, which was surprisingly the best I've had in the city despite being vegan, the breakfast menu left much to be desired. The breakfast consisted of a lackluster combination of vegetables, hummus, and tofu pressed together into a paste, which was rather boring.

One unusual downside was the absence of restroom facilities, which forced us to go to a nearby place to relieve ourselves. Additionally, I noticed that the owner seemed somewhat stressed, as I overheard some cursing coming from the open kitchen, which was right next to the dining area. Additionally she didn't seem very polite.

Wer Lust auf frisch, authentisch, vegan, tierlieb, heimeliges Ambiente und echtes Kuchen-Handwerk hat, für den ist ein Besuch bei velicious ein MUSS. Es gibt Donnerstag bis Sonntag von der Inhaberin hausgemachte 100% vegane Kuchen und Tortenkreationen passend zu den Früchten der Saison. Selbst als glutenfrei und gelegentlich(!) sogar zuckerfrei/alternativ gesüßter Esser wird man hier fündig. Glutenfreie Cookies gibt es hier immer! ..und ich liiiiebe den Kaffee aus der Siebträgermaschine😍 BaristaQualität + verschiedene pflanzliche"Milch" nach Wahl

Eine kleine aber sehr feine Frühstücksauswahl mit selbstgemachten Brötchen (+auf Nachfrage auch glutenfrei) gibt es auch. Vurst, Käze, Avocado, viel Gemüse, Obst, Müsli: perfekt fürs "clean eating" oder vegane alternativen kennen lernen, die man noch nicht selbst im Kühlschrank hatte.

Ich verdonnere seit Jahren jeden Besuch zum Kuchen essen (meine Freundin aus Bremen ist inzwischen süchtig und fährt mit vollen Tupperdosen nach hause -- to Go geht hier natürlich auch gern in nachhalti: statt Kaffeebecher gibt's recyclete Schraubgläser..voll gute Idee) Dank super Lage kann man sich hier perfekt direkt vor der Abreise vom Ostkreuz stärken...sind ungelogen nur 2min Fußweg zur Bahn und ansonsten ist man direkt im Kiez 👌

ach..und Geburtstagstorten+ Hochzeitstorten kann man auch individuell bestellen!🎁 ..und das alles produziert eine Person alleine!!! ❤️ Was will Mensch mehr?😍

...und mal einen ganz ehrlichen Kommentar zu allen Rezensionen, die über Preise meckern: wenn ich nicht bereit bin 4€ für veganes Handwerk in einem lokalen Kleinunternehmen auszugeben, aber bei Starbucks und Co gleich 10€+ für puren Zucker und künstliche Aroma + Chemie verprasse d deren Produkte als Maßstab ansetze, bin ich hier falsch. #supportsmallbusiness...
