This place really surprised me. In a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Nothing fancy but the interior is warm and welcoming and with attention to detail. With attention to detail is also the staff. Friendly, utmost professional, attentive.

Food is of the best quality. Home cooked. Seems a family run place. The menu again does not look fancy but be prepared to be positively surprised, the food is outstanding.

Mandu 🥟 with pork (fried) was the best I ever had. Kimchi Beef was unbelievably good. I cannot find words to describe it. Also had the Ramyon with egg (yes this is just broth and noodles and egg but I cannot repeat it often enough - do not be fooled by the label in this place - the food is simply divine) Mochi for dessert were also some of the best I ever had. Oh and the natural rice tea is top.

In addition they had lovely chilled music, it was simply a nice atmosphere.

Lets start with the good points. The service staff were friendly and the interior looked cosy. However, the food was an entirely different story.

The bad:

My partner and I ordered bibimbap, mandu, japchae and gimbap. All of which were disappointing.

For the price point, the food quality did not match it, nor did the quantity.

I think they could improve by:

the entire japchae tasted burnt. There were a ton of burnt bits that made it unappetizing. the eggs in the bibimbap was too salty and the beef with it was flavourless. Where did the seasoning go? the gimbap lacked that distinct sesame taste in gimbaps. the mandu was bland. It had a nice crunch but the over flavour did not deliver.

Geht so und zu teuer, das ist unser Kurzfazit. Ich verstehe die ganzen 5-Sterne-Rezensionen nicht. Wir haben heute spontan das Norivu testen wollen, weil wir schon so oft dran vorbei gefahren sind. Wir haben das Rindfleisch-Bulgogi und das S1 Setmenü mit Mandu, Gimbap und Japchae bestellt, plus einmal Kimchi extra. Zusammen schon mal 31,50 Euro nur für das Essen. Und Gimbap gab es nicht, also entweder mehr Mandu oder Nudeln. Etwas enttäuscht war ich schon. Die Getränkepreise sind auch im oberen Bereich, nicht gerade angenehm. Und nur aus der Flasche. Das Essen kam schnell, sah gut aus. Wichtiger ist aber der Geschmack, und der war eigentlich nur bei den Mandus und dem Kimchi lecker, das Bulgogi und das Japchae waren nicht besonders und nicht besonders lecker, das Rindfleisch selber war auch nur durchschnittliche Qualität, da haben wir schon bedeutend besseres in Bonn für weniger Geld gegessen. Die Portionen sind außerdem sehr klein für den Preis, da sehen wir kein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Nach dem Essen waren wir noch hungrig. Gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat, wurden wir auch nicht. Deshalb sind wir von unserem Besuch im Norivu gar nicht angetan und werden sehr wahrscheinlich auch kein zweites Mal dort essen, dafür gibt es bessere und preiswertere Alternativen in...
