Bistro Pizzeria Capri — Restaurant in Brilon

We went here yesterday. The front door guy tapped onto my phone to see the detail of my vaccination certificate without permission and I told him that it was impolite and he was not supposed to see my personal details and he just replied, “Well, that’s the rules here or you can leave”. He literally said that, in German. Funny that he didn’t even have the scanner, he checked it manually.

Well, since he already touched my phone and my family’s so we didn’t want to waste it. But gosh, we really should’ve leaved when we got the chance. Apparently, he was also the one who got to ask our order and he got one menu wrong. He delivered a veggie pizza instead of a lasagna. One mistake so we thought that was not a big deal but what annoyed us was that he insisted that it was our mistake and he didn’t say sorry at all. It was actually easy to solve if he could just bring the correct order and apologize. He was just not it.

And again, when we were about to pay, he grabbed my dad’s card and used his hand to tap and just threw it on the table afterwards. I mean, what was that? My dad could have tapped it himself. He was such a slovenly in this crisis time. I really couldn’t stand him but thank God, we went there just because we were on holidays, visiting...

Zum Geburtstag meiner Mutter haben wir ihren Lieblingsitaliener ausgesucht und möchte gerne die Küche und den Chef besonders hervorheben. Schon die Reservierung vor Ort ging locker flockig mit Wohlfühlcharakter. Für den Preis (aus meiner Sicht zu günstig - besonders jetzt seit der MwSt.-Erhöhung) hat die Küche voll abgeliefert. Die Pizza Frutti di Mare war top und ich kann leider nie nein sagen zum Tartufo Eis. 😇 Der Chef ist ein Gute-Laune-Mann und offen für kleine Gespräche, was mir sehr sympathisch ist. 👍🏻 Der Service war sehr nett und schnell, darf aber aus meiner Sicht gerne mal öfter über die Tische gehen. Ein „Check Back“, um sich zu vergewissern, ob denn alles schmeckt finde ich immer wichtig, so kann man noch fix nachjustieren - fehlte hier. ✌🏻 Man hatte wenig Chance nachzubestellen, hatten es aber nicht weit zur Theke ;) - also ich persönlich finde es auch nicht schlimm, aber aus Sicht eines Gastronoms nicht förderlich. Der junge Mann mit der Brille hat wirklich Potenzial, ein wenig mehr Coaching und Biss und er reißt alles ab. Also bitte bleib dran!!! 🙏🏻 Auch sollte man sich etwas mit den Produkten auseinandersetzen, welche im Rückbuffet der Bar stehen - etwas über den Tellerrand schauen. Das fördert den Verkauf und macht einen noch professionelleren Eindruck. Aber dennoch fühlten wir uns sehr wohl und als kleinen kleinen Tip: Etwas italienische Musik im Hintergrund hebt die Gesamtstimmung. Es lief zwar irgendwas, war aber nicht definierbar, weil es soooo leise war ❤️ Weinauswahl für das Lokal absolut in Ordnung. Ich komme gerne wieder. Interessant finde ich hier einige Rezensionen. 6 Handgemachte Ravioli für 11€ ist völlig gerechtfertigt. Hier wird das Handwerk dahinter weder gesehen noch gewürdigt. The service was good here, but the food was really disappointing.

We chose bruschetta, which was good, we enjoyed it, however it came in a puddle of tomato water.

I then had a salad, which had the worst salad dressing I've ever had. This is supposed to be Italian, where's the balsamic, the lemon, the herbs, the olive oil? Instead I was given a thick goop that tasted so bad I wished I hadn't put it on the salad at all.

My husband's pizza was fine at first and a good size, but it was so heavy he now has a stomach ache.
