Poller Fischerhaus — Restaurant in Cologne

Lovely food. We we're very appreciative that they were able to serve us food late in the day. What we did not appreciate was the smarmy member of staff who didn't like that we had spoken English to him. Even after we said we were not English he asked "are you enjoying your English holiday". The interaction with that individual spoiled the experience for us. The restaurant is located directly accross the road from a large campsite with very little else around, how can they expect all of their patrons to speak perfect German. On the basis of this experience I would not recommend anyone who is not fluent in German to visit...

Don’t go here. Went in and ask for a table, was abruptly told there was but not shown or guided to it. Found a table, ask for menus which took 5 mins to turn up and were chucked on the table. Noticed a table of 7 next to us were having issues ordering as they would take an order for two then come back. Waited nearly 20 mins, no drink order taken no food order taken, in fact despite requesting the waiter he just ignored us. We left… never to return. Arrogant, inefficient and unprofessional. Looks great but...

Lieber Chef vom Fischerhaus, was war DAS denn jetzt! ?

Ich bin die Strecke von Deutz zu Euch gekommen, weil es ein schöner Ort ist, draußen zu sitzen, es war noch so schön mild und eine herrliche Abendstimmung bei untergehender Sonne kurz nach 19:00 an einem Sonntag. Im Außenbereich schon die Stühle an die Tische hoch geklappt - bis auf einen Tisch! Der war noch einladend. Als ich mich dort hinsetzen wollte, und sagte, dass ich gerne etwas trinken und essen wollte, hieß es, das würde nicht mehr gehen, ich wäre ja NUR ALLEINE ! Deshalb ginge es nur noch drinnen oder draußen am Bartisch - wo mir die Tischplatte bis kurz unters Kinn reicht! Und sofort auch dieser letzte Tisch blockiert.

Wo ist da, bitte, der Unterschied, ob Ihr mich am Bartisch bedient, oder mir einen vernünftigen Platz an dem normalen Esstisch gebt, der sogar noch näher an der Tür stand!?? Die Gefahr, dass weitere unliebsame Gäste kämen, die draußen sitzen wollten, bestand wohl wg. der deutlich zusammengeräumten Tische nicht mehr.

Wie unflexibel und gastunfreundlich kann man wohl sein, dass Ihr Euch lieber mein NUR-1-Gedeck entgehen lasst anstatt mich draußen am Tisch sitzen zu lassen??? Denn ich bin daraufhin gegangen. Ich fühlte mich diskriminiert. Wirtschaftlichkeit kann hier nicht der Grund gewesen sein. Ein anderes Restaurant hatte mit mir kein Problem; so haben diese eben an mir verdient.

Wie unklug von Euch!!! Ich bin enttäuscht. Und gehemmt, auf gut Glück wiederzukommen.
