WOODRICH specialty coffee & slow food — Restaurant in Darmstadt-Mitte

Just discovered this gem called WOODRICH coffee shop and I'm already planning my next visit! The vibe here is absolutely amazing - cozy but vibrant at the same time. It's become my go-to spot for catching up with friends.

The coffee is exceptional - rich flavor without being bitter. Paired it with a slice of their cake which was honestly the perfect complement. Not too sweet, just right.

What really makes WOODRICH stand out though is the atmosphere. It has that perfect balance of buzzy energy but you can still have a conversation without shouting. The staff were friendly without hovering.

I tasted sweet avocado spread on Eggs Benedict sourdough sandwich for the first time in my life. I very well wish that it will be my last. Everything was too sweet. The cappuccino was made with burnt off milk. Service was slow and hectic. It’s a self-order cafe and inside the space is too tight. If you are trying to take your drinks outside the door is too heavy and you may spill everything. The good side is that there’s usually some other customer next to the door willing to help. We visited at 13:15 on a Sunday and wanted to order from an all-day menu. Waitstaff told us to wait 30 minutes, as kitchen was not available at the time. We ordered drinks and went to sit outside and wait. Apparently, the kitchen was available to the people who arrived just after us, as their table was served plates of food in about 12 minutes. We left to eat lunch elsewhere. The coffee was good, so there were 2 stars here. But then I got falsely accused of defamation by the owner of this business for a 2-star review, so there...
