What an amazing dining experience! This restaurant will blow your mind if you like indian food. They have a very good variety of items on their menu, some of them are spicy, some not so much.

I tried the cheesy Naan as an appetizer: it was very good, cheesy and salty! Its a naan flat bread cut all the way through and filled with delicious creamcheese.

As main dishes, i tried the butter chicken which comes served with a big portion of Basmati rice. I loved how tender the chicken chunks were! The sauce was so delicious and not spicy whatsoever.

I also tried the Chicken Biriany which looked so succulent! We are with out eyes before even tasting the dish. Let me tell you, this rice mixture must be one of the best ones i ever had!! It is so rich in flavor, full with bits of delicious almonds, spices and aroma!

For drinks, i had the mango lassi which was very creamy and not very sweet, just perfect.

All in all, i would 100% recommend this place, try it and you will be very positively surprised!

Expect to pay 70 to 80 euro...

Wir waren bereits mehrere Male im indischen Restaurant Babur in Dossenheim und waren bisher relativ zufrieden mit dem Essen und dem Service. Leider hat sich unser Eindruck beim letzten Besuch vor etwa ein bis zwei Wochen deutlich verschlechtert.

An diesem Abend hatten wir Besuch von zwei Freunden aus Stuttgart und entschieden uns, ins Babur zu gehen, da wir bisher gute Erfahrungen gemacht hatten. Wie gewohnt bestellten wir mehrere Gerichte, die normalerweise mit separatem Reis serviert werden. Dieses Mal entdeckten wir jedoch eine Kakerlake in einer der Reisschüsseln – ein äußerst unangenehmes und hygienisch bedenkliches Erlebnis.

Neben diesem Vorfall ist uns auch aufgefallen, dass die generelle Qualität des Essens nachgelassen hat. Zum Beispiel war das Hähnchenfleisch in einem der traditionellen Currys nicht durchgegart und relativ zäh. Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr stimmt.

Auch in Bezug auf Sauberkeit gibt es mittlerweile leider einige Mängel: Die Chutneys auf den Tischen sind teilweise leer oder wirken benutzt, als wären sie nicht zwischen den Gästen gewechselt oder ordentlich nachgefüllt worden.

All diese Punkte führen leider dazu, dass man ein Gefühl von Vernachlässigung und mangelnder Sorgfalt im Service und in der Qualität des Restaurants bekommt. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung werden wir in Zukunft nicht mehr dort essen gehen und möchten auch andere Gäste entsprechend...
