Café Mahlgrad 156 — Restaurant in Dresden

Second time here and not disappointed. Great selection of niche coffee drinks tempting you to go against the grain and try something different. We had the turmeric latte and banana cherry coffee. Both very tasty.

Their cakes are just amazing- on offer was the ginger orange cake as well as a banana chocolate cake. We both found the ginger orange extraordinary - the flavour combination was mind blowing. Will definitely be back. The way they were plated was the definition of culinary art - just wow.

Service : the barista/waiter was very friendly (something you rarely get nowadays so we are very appreciative of the extra effort they put in ) . On the ambience : the side room (right of entrance) could do with a refurbishment - the paint looks old and the decor dusty. But the atmosphere is still...

Interesting/intriguing interior, but we came for the apparently good coffee and service and received pretty lacklustre performance in both. It was self service which isn't necessarily bad, but milk was poured out by the server and then promptly taken back to the counter, leaving no room for error when deciding how much to let him pour out. Brown sugar was to be taken out of an almost empty container and that was also taken away a moment later. The waitress on the other hand gave good service. Had the coffee been good, the other points could have been overlooked, but when both product and service can't convince, it's hard to recommend this shop to others :-/ Schade The costs are definitely too high to justify getting a coffee here. I can't comment...

Awful experience. The service was bad and the waiter rude! We had café crema and asked for milk and they didn't even bring the milk to the table. The waiter just poured the milk and ran away with it. We also had to ask for sugar and a big jar with a small amount was brought to us.

The coffee was also not flavourful, but rather disappointing. Simply acidic and badly brewed. For the high price I would have expected more!
