I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival, I was asked to sit in a secluded place in the basement, which already felt unwelcoming but I was okay with it as I was too hungry and couldnt wait any longer. From the time I entered till the time I was taken down to the basement including the wait time at the counter was 10 min approx

After being seated I was told the waiter will be back in 5 min to take my order. After waiting for around 30 minutes, my order was finally taken and was told that the food will be served in 15 min.

However, the main course arrived after 30 min. The curry, which was supposed to have a thick gravy as per the menu description, was watery and I had to request it to be warmed up as it was very mild warm/almost cold. Shockingly, this took another 30 minutes just to heat it up. By the time it was ready, the neer dosa served with the curry had turned cold, requiring another 15 minutes to warm up.

Even during the payment process I was made to wait 20 minutes,.

In total, I spent over 3 hours for a simple two-course meal—an unacceptable amount of time for a single diner.

Nevertheless, the server accepted my every request and the food was authentic as mentioned. I would visit his place again but this time with advanced booking and...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Authentic South Indian Flavors at Their Best!

Jhasvik South Indian Authentic Restaurant in Düsseldorf is a culinary gem! From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff set the tone for an incredible dining experience.

The biryani is an absolute masterpiece – fragrant, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. Each grain of rice is flavorful, and the tender meat simply melts in your mouth. The authenticity is unmatched!

Beyond the biryani, every dish we tried was a celebration of South Indian flavors. The dosas were crisp and golden, the sambar had the right balance of spices, and the chutneys were fresh and delightful.

The attention to detail in both the cooking and presentation is remarkable. It’s clear that the chefs here are passionate about delivering an authentic South Indian experience.

If you’re in Düsseldorf and craving South Indian cuisine, Jhasvik is the place to be. This is hands down the best South Indian restaurant I’ve been to, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Highly...

A hidden gem for South Indian food lovers! Tried out Jhasvik today, and honestly, I wasn't expecting this level of authenticity in Düsseldorf. I ordered the Andhra Chicken Biryani — and wow, the spice level, aroma, and flavor all hit the mark perfectly. It reminded me of home-cooked biryani from back in India, not the usual toned-down version you often get in restaurants abroad. My friend had the Bun Parotta, and we were both really impressed — soft, flaky, and just the right texture. You can tell they put a lot of effort into getting the details right. We also tried the Chicken 65 (which had that crispy, spicy kick that it should have) and the Moringa Soup, which was surprisingly light but flavorful — a nice touch to start the meal.

Overall, what stood out was not just the food, but how unapologetically authentic everything was. No shortcuts, no “fusion” tricks — just real South Indian food, made the way it’s supposed to be. Kudos to Prakash & his talented team for their patience & persistence...

Discovered this one-month-old South Indian restaurant through Google Maps while exploring our new neighborhood, and what a delightful find 🤗 The staff welcomed us 15 minutes early on a really cold winter day, thoughtfully accommodating us and our daughter in her stroller. The waiter patiently explained the menu, introducing us to South Indian specialties. As soon as they arrived, every dish we tried was a revelation - the biryani combo, sambar vada, and black rice dessert each had distinct, wonderful flavors and spices. The Chicken 65 was a discovery we thoroughly enjoyed. The masala tea perfectly complemented our meal. One of the owners, Divya, even approached us, helped soothe our fussy daughter and shared fascinating facts about South Indian culture. The food is perfect, but we are giving 5 stars because of their genuine care for customers. Jhasvik is a must visit in South Düsseldorf!

What an amazing evening filled with a hell lot of delicious food! From the very first bite, everything was a treat for the senses. The starters set the tone perfectly—crispy, spicy, and full of flavor. Then came the dosa, uthappam, and parotta—each one better than the last! The dosa was perfectly crisp, the uthappam soft and loaded with toppings, and the parotta flaky and satisfying. Honestly, the list of dishes we tried is too long to remember—but every single one was worth it. The variety, quality, and taste were unmatched. If you’re looking for a place that serves authentic, soul-satisfying food that hits the spot from start to finish—this is it. Highly recommend for foodies who want to indulge and leave with a full heart (and fuller stomach)!

We went there on 25th December 2024, the restaurant serves very good authentic south indian dishes. We ordered non veg starters like the vintage chicken 65, guntur kodi roast, the masala fish fry and a prawn starter all of which were very tasty. However the portion size could be larger, according to my opinion. We love d the mutton biryani and the neer dosa as well. The desserts were also good. We ordered double ka meetha and the black rice pudding. The drink Vasantha Neer was very disappointing especially as it is priced at 7 euros. The rose milk on the other hand was delicious. Overall a good experience, very humble and welcoming staff, and the ambience was good. Would definitely recommend visiting.
