Copenhagen Coffee Lab - Gemarkenstraße — Restaurant in Essen

I’ve been to this place once before to get a coffee to-go and it was great! However, this time was very disappointing. It seems like everything that could go wrong went wrong - the coffee order was incorrect (we wanted one iced coffee & one hot latte, but got 2 lattes and the coffee itself wasn’t prepared well. I got a hot latte but with barely any milk), the ham & cheese croissant was cold (croissant was good though), the breakfast platter was very sad and consisted of 1 slice of cheese & ham (we had to ask if there was something missing & indeed we were supposed to get an extra 2 brötchen with a dessert). The staff were very nice and apologized for the mistakes, but it was quite frustrating to have to remind them about our order and the menu when everything was written down 💀💀 We kept getting wrong food and drinks for the rest of the time. A very cosy cafe, offering a tasty and healthy food! The coffee is wonderful, offered in different tastes. The sandwiches are made of sourdough bread, breakfast menu consists mostly of homemade meals. The bakery sells also a range of sourdough bread. There's an opportunity to buy food for home as well. The prices are reasonable with discounts for students. The service is excellent! Dogs are welcome and there is water and treats for them! A big plus! I strongly recommend this place! Ich war gestern mit einer Freundin im neuen Coffee Lab. Der erste Eindruck vom Personal und der Einrichtung waren ganz nett. Als meine Freundin ihren Latte macchiato bestellt hatte und ich meine heiße Schokolade, fragte ich höflich ob ich noch Sahne auf die Schokolade bekommen könnte. Herablassend wurde mir geantwortet das dies ein Kaffeehaus sei und es hier keine Sahne gäbe. Für den saftigen Preis von 3,80€!!! kann man definitiv erwarten dass es die Option gibt Sahne zu bekommen, zumal ich es nicht in einem einzigen Café gehört habe dass es keine Sahne gibt?! Ich dachte mir komm, mach gute Miene zum bösen Spiel. Als die Schokolade und der Cappuccino - ja Cappuccino statt ein Latte macchiato - zum Tisch gebracht wurden, dachten wir uns okay, sagen wir nichts, letzte Chance für den Laden. Als dieser auch noch bei wenig Betrieb lauwarm ankam, hat sich das Café für uns erledigt. Meine Schokolade hat nur nach verdünntem Kakaopulver geschmeckt und der Cappuccino nur nach Milch. Das Coffee Lab - eine weitere Kette - ist für Holsterhauser Verhältnisse und dessen Qualität viel zu teuer. Fürs Personal und Verhalten dürfte der Preis gerne noch niedriger sein.
