Gluten free safe and beautiful fine dining Italian cuisine restaurant.

I have eaten here twice with friends. As a coeliac I have felt safe and comfortable to do so thanks to the personal attention of the host and servers to guiding me to the available safe choices and describing how these will be prepared gluten free. This does mean choosing dishes such as meat, fish and vegetables that are naturally gluten free as there are no gluten free substitutes for pizza or pasta dishes.

Major highlights have been -

++ Service is superb, friendly, attentive and not intrusive. On my visits the flawless English speaking has also been a huge plus since my friends and I speak no German.

++ Comfortable seating, generously sized tables and relaxing mood lighting

++ The variety of naturally gluten free dishes, including fish dishes and antipasti is more than enough to provide some delicious choices

++ The Creme Brulee is without a doubt the most enjoyable I have ever sampled. Rich, velvety, luxurious and every spoonful to savor slowly

++ A shared antipasti for our table was suggested on our most recent visit and delighted everyone with fresh and varied foods. We would not have thought to ask for this ourselves and it is an example of how the staff at Lucente contribute to a lovely dining experience

Points I would like to improve are -

Availability of an English language menu. The excellent hostess can translate flawlessly and Google Translate works well too, but an English language menu would be welcome

Availability of more gluten free dishes. For those desiring pasta it is relatively simple for a restaurant to offer gluten free pasta and this would significantly expand the range of dishes available gluten free. Gluten Free bread is also relatively easy to make available and would enable dishes like bruschetta

Das Ristorante Lucente auf der Rüttenscheider Straße ist für mich eines der besten italienischen Restaurants in Essen 🇮🇹🍝🍷. Schon beim Ankommen spürt man das mediterrane Flair – warmes Ambiente, stilvolle Einrichtung und eine Atmosphäre, die sofort Lust auf gutes Essen macht.

Die Speisekarte ist authentisch italienisch und bietet eine hervorragende Auswahl: hausgemachte Pasta 🍝, knusprige Pizza 🍕, frische Fischgerichte 🐟 und saftige Fleischspezialitäten 🥩. Alles ist frisch zubereitet, perfekt abgeschmeckt und wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders die Pasta-Gerichte und die Antipasti sind ein echtes Highlight – man merkt, dass hier Qualität und Liebe zum Detail an erster Stelle stehen.

Auch die Getränkeauswahl passt perfekt: eine große Auswahl an italienischen Weinen 🍷, Aperitifs und Kaffeespezialitäten ☕. Zum Abschluss unbedingt das Dessert probieren – das Tiramisu ist himmlisch 😍.

Das Service-Team ist freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgt dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Selbst wenn das Restaurant voll ist, bleibt der Service professionell und herzlich 👍.

Preis-Leistung ist absolut fair 💯, gerade für die Qualität und das authentische italienische Erlebnis, das man hier bekommt.

Fazit: Das Ristorante Lucente ist ein kulinarisches Stück Italien mitten in Essen. Perfektes Essen, tolle Atmosphäre und super Service – für mich ohne Zweifel 5 Sterne 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die italienische...

Ich würde es Freunden nicht empfehlen.

Service/Empfang: Empfang nicht besonders herzlich. Chefin(?) eher reserviert und kühl.Bei Stammkunden herzlich. Warum auch immer. Auf jeden Fall hatten wir nach Bestellung schon keine Lust mehr hier zu essen.

Essen: Vorspeise hatten wir Thunfischtatar mit Spargel-Avocado Salat (17,90€). Letzterer geschmacklich gut, aber zu kalt. Tatar mit Sesamöl zu bereitet. Passt nicht ganz zu einem italienischen Restaurant. Als wir zuhause waren, haben wir gesehen, dass auf der Rechnung 25,90€ pro Person abgerechnet wurde!

Als Hauptgericht einmal Scampi mit Linsensalat (25 €). Scampi leider zu durch und etwas mehlig. Linsensalat ordentlich. Tagliatelle mit Rinderfiletspitzen und Trüffel (21,90€) nicht besser als bei jedem Italiener um die Ecke. Zu ölig.

Und wenn man 3x für den Preis für eine Portion Pasta mit weißem Alba Trüffel (Tagesgericht) nachfragen muss, geht das auch nicht. Uns ist schon klar, warum die Chefin hier herumdruckst. Wir sind ja ohne weiteres bereit 30€ für eine Vorspeisenportion zu zahlen. Aber nach dem Verhalten nicht.

Weine waren gut (4,50€ pro 0,1l).

Espresso (2,80€) gut.

Insgesamt müssen wir sagen, dass das Lucente zu teuer ist. Da empfehlen wir eher das „Oase Due“...
