Our Place - Barbecue & Cocktailhouse — Restaurant in Fürth

We had a reservation for 5 PM and drove over an hour with a small child to get there. At exactly 5:30 PM, they called us. I called them back exactly at 5:45 PM to say we would arrive in 3 minutes. Despite this, they told me over the phone that they had already given our table away because they only hold reservations for 45 minutes—and we were just 3 minutes late! When I made the reservation, it clearly stated the table would be held for two full hours, until 7 PM. Nowhere was it mentioned that they only hold tables for 45 minutes. This complete lack of transparency is unacceptable. Despite explaining our situation—traveling a long way with a small child—the staff showed zero empathy or understanding. The phone conversation was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. They refused to hold the table or offer any alternatives, bluntly telling us there was no table available. We never even made it to the restaurant because of their careless and heartless attitude. It’s shocking that such an important detail isn’t clearly communicated anywhere, and even more shocking how poorly customers are treated. Overall, the food was delicious for the people who ate. Our table was outside, the atmosphere was good. We had a reserved table, but no one informed us how early the kitchen closes. So two of us were left without the opportunity to order, because they were 2 minutes late. Google says that the restaurant is open until late, but nowhere does it say that the kitchen closes at 8 pm. No exceptions for 1-2 minutes. Unfortunately, we were on the road all day and arrived at the place a bit late. So - no food for the late people who had been on a long journey - to stay hungry and tired. If we had known that they close so early, we would not have visited this...

Hatte eine gemischte Platte mit normalen Ribs, Baby Ribs und Buffalo Hot Wings. Außerdem eine halbe Portion Potatoe Wedges; mit meinem Kumpel eine Portion geteilt. Fast 6 Euro für eine Portion günstig herzustellendes Kartoffelprodukt fand ich zu viel. Sowas lief bei uns früher als Sättigungsbeilage und war entsprechend günstig. Die Wedges und auch der Dip dazu waren aber recht lecker.

Richtig gut waren die Ribs. Die Sauce dazu ist einfach sau-lecker. Mir haben die Baby- als auch die ausgewachsenen Ribs sehr gut geschmeckt.

Die Sauce von den Hot Wings war aber nicht so mein Fall. Die stehen ja als scharf in der Karte. Die fand ich aber nicht scharf, sondern unsagbar sauer - so in Richtung Essig-Essenz. Hat alles nur noch danach geschmeckt. Vielleicht haben die sich da ein wenig in der Dosis vertan? Meinem Kumpel habe ich bereitwillig einen Wing zum Probieren angeboten - der war auch nicht begeistert.

Aber die guten Ribs haben es wieder gut gemacht.

Wir saßen bei den Temperaturen gemütlich im Biergarten. Die eher wackligen Plastikstühle passen zwar nicht so ganz zum Preis-Niveau, aber sind noch okay für draussen.

Innen gibt es einen urigen gemütlichen Keller, in dem ich vor ein paar Jahren schon mal gegesssen hatte. Die Ribs waren schon damals super, so hab ich mich wieder an das Ours Place erinnert. Bei der Bedienung gab es nichts zu meckern. Die war flott, nett und hatte Humor.

Mein Fazit: Gerne wieder, aber dann nur Ribs für mich. Achja, hab mich über die supersauren Wings auch mit der Bedienung unterhalten. Die meinte, dass die ansonsten super ankämen - war dann vielleicht doch der persönliche Geschmack von mir und meinem Kumpel. Oder die Dosis Essig (?) stimmte nicht ganz heute.
