MUST READ!!! I urge people not to go to this restaurant and support this man's (the man in black attire , probably the restaurant owner) ego who doesn't respect women. I am ashamed for having met such a person, hailing from my motherland India, who doesn't know the meaning of "Atithi Devo Bhava" (philosophy of revering guests with the same respect as a god). So, here is our first time and first hand experience.
We were hungry, saw this restaurant nearby (via google ofcourse), ratings were fairly good. It was on 16.12.2022 at 2200 Hrs, we stepped inside the restaurant and genuinely asked if the kitchen was open.. the man said yes, we can serve you. It being a cold night we ordered 2 chai and then main course. Since one of us doesn't eat sugar, we ordered both teas without sugar, for sugar to be taken afterwards for the other one of us. Right after the Chai came, the man (restaurant owner) didn't know our order but commented from the back "first they order without sugar and now they want sugar". I politely responded in punjabi "nahi paaji, saade cho ik banda chinni nahi peenda ta dujje vaste mangayi chinni"(one of us don't drink chai with sugar so asked for other one). He came to our table and started accusing us for ordering chai without sugar and when I tried explaining him what happened he said "who drinks tea at this hour and we are not your servants to make two teas separately, how dare you criticize our tea and you dare not critize our food" I, again, said that we didn't want you to make the tea twice so we ordered tea without sugar to make it a less effort for you people. He was not listening and started shouting meanwhile the lady who took our order came and explained him the situation and said that she forgot to serve sugar to us and that's why he misunderstood the situation. He immediately shouted on the lady saying "why the hell you did not get sugar already". While he was still shouting, looking at the lady's embarrassed face, I (being a woman myself) lost it and told this man why he had to create such a havoc just for sugar, its okay if she forgot, we do not have a problem why would he have and that's when he showed us his most indecent Indian side which I have never ever experienced in India also (i was really shocked and took me time to come out of what i experienced). He said we are serving you food, you should be grateful for that and now we won't, leave the restaurant. So basically, he couldn't take my support for that woman and asked us to leave without even apologising for his behaviour towards us or that lady. I wonder if she was from his family or what. No Indian man, especially a decent restaurateur would ever do this to any woman or even to the customer. It took me time to write this because somehow thinking of how he treated everyone around him that night makes me...
Read moreI ordered online and added a note for the restaurant to call me because my doorbell was not working. I was told food would be delivered within 50 min, but that it could be longer on a Sunday. After reading some reviews I saw that it can take up to 2 hours. So at the 2 hour mark I decided to call just to make sure it was still coming. The man who answered the phone was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. First he denied that there was a note and then he changed his answer and said they didn't call because it was an British not a German number (there are no roaming costs within the EU). He said that the delivery person had been there and couldn't find me. Of course not, my doorbell is broken! He then asked if I wanted a refund or the delivery person to come back. It was nearly 9:30 at this point so I said I would just like to be refunded. At this point he yelled at me that the food had already been made and it was my fault. I apologized for the inconvenience and said I would request the money back online.
I've been to eat there before and have to say that if you're going for the food, it is great. Just hope you don't have to interact with...
Read moreWorst indian food ever I've tasted. Please don't go here. We ordered shahi paneer and dal fry. Instead of dal fry, we were served dal makhni and in bill also it was written dal makhhni but we were forced to believe that it was dal fry. We are not first timers to believe such lies. They are presenting indian food very wrongly. Additionally, upon trying to make a healthy discussion, the owners get offended and talk rudely instead of accepting the fact. They also mentioned that one can not get proper indian food outside of india, which is totally insulting. I insist on looking elsewhere if you want to taste real indian food. This place...
