Trust me, if you are looking for an honest review of this restaurant, then you are right here! Food is just average, like most of touristic, European Indian Restaurants, nothing special. But it was all about the behavior of one male staff towards us!!! We drove from Garmisch to Fuessen just because on phone attending lady was nice and accommodating to us. We were 4 adults and 3 kids, some fully hungry and others somewhat. The Menu had lot of items stripped off. Even basic like Dal Tadka was not available to order. We were forced to pick just 2 dishes +drinks out of the limited options, however online menu available showed full menu but not in reality. Now comes the real treatment from that male staff, he comes and says in most derogatory way to us, “Kitne plate lagani hai?” (How many plates should I serve?), we said for all of us, then he says you ordered just 2 dish and wants plate for all? Then, I confronted that male staff, why doesn’t he has other basic items like Dal tadka on his menu? To which he started defending, he doesn’t have supplies, no oil etc owing to present situation. I further confronted, then how does he expect that we order separate dishes for all? I asked, does he also speaks the way with German guests? His answer, no. And despite being Indian, he treated Indians as if we are getting food for free.
It is unsaid truth that (most) Indian restaurants in Germany treat Indian guests in most inappropriate way although they know that each gravy what we order taste the same. Although they shamelessly expect Indians to order the way local people do. Dish order on headcount. There is nothing wrong in it, but then there is a way. This time as the male staff was shameless to us, I returned the favor to him in his own way of treatment.
And to most of you, you can go order here and help these guys to do their business but if you order less, then either that male guy will be shameless to you or will make fun of yours in his back kitchen and will be served the same gravy taste whatever you order. And rice was also not fresh, and overcooked.
Enjoy! Me never again. PS - We were very neutral until that staff provoked us. We paid 80€ for average food and our spoilt evening. I review based on merit and our...
Read moreVery disappointing. Staff very inhospitable. Not a smile on the face, not a word of greeting. Upon asking where the toilet was, it was shown to me with only a hand gesture + being bothered attitude We arrived during the 'mittagsmenu' time that offers smaller portion dishes for reduced cost, which was what we actually wanted. But we were not aware of it until we saw what others were receiving. Other guests were given the mittagsmenu card while we were given the standard one. Why? Upon asking later, got a very unfriendly response. I asked the lady if they also made Malai Kofta, as i dint find it on the card. She nodded saying yes. I ordered. What arrived? Veg kofta, made only from potatoes. Why couldn't she simply say NO, they dont have it?? Food very ordinary, prices very high. All dishes made of the same standard sweet tomato sauce. We asked it to be made extra hot/spicy. Ofcourse they arrived standard, without considering our wish. Upon asking, an extra bowl of supposedly 'spicy' chutney was given which could've been eaten purely.. because? It was nowhere close to being hot or spicy. The lady wanted to remove my plate without even asking if she should; she could even see that i was still eating!
Having said all this, i know such goofups keep happening at all restaurants which i normally ignore, but the real thing that bothered me and motivated to write this review was their attitude towards a fellow indian. I did not feel welcomed at their restaurant as a guest at all. Made to feel like an unwanted guest. No courtesy, no respect for...
Read moreWe made reservations for 9 people for 8pm.our final dishes came out just before 9:45. We did not have enough time to enjoy our meal as they were closing. Staff members( maybe family kept on staring at us from the counter. They were not ready to receive the reservation and would nit let our group split into two groups so that the teens could go outside from the hot indoors even though there was space available. They told us we would want back in because of the honey bees. My nephew order a hot dish and confirmed with them that he was used to hot and it wouldn't be a problem. When he got it there was no spice heat at all. All of the appetizers were covered in three sauce toppings, this was not stated on the menu. We were clearly from out of town(all speaking English) but when it csme to paying they were acting surprised and wouldn't accept our Amro debit or Mastercard as a payment without a 6% add on fee. No where was this stated and they said it was because we were not using local cards. Although the food was ok, the atmosphere left us uncomfortable and...
