Asia Imbiss Orchidee — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Cute little place, provides menu in English on request. Run by a Vietnamese couple who will serve you cheerfully and work with your tastebuds. We wanted medium spicy and the spice levels were perfect for us. The lady speaks some English and the full menu has an English version provided on request.

The dining in area has about a dozen seats and we ate in. The mains are all under 10 Euros. The positions are very generous. Water and soda is available. We did not order any starters as we had a late breakfast, but will do so next time.

The food was delicious and the flavors were distinct. Ask about the Regional dishes on the menu and they will tell you which ones are Vietnamese. The Thai (all the trational curries, red, green, yellow and peanut are obvious) and we also saw Chinese names, such as sweet and sour. I have posted a photo of the full English...

As a native Vietnamese, I love this place. Tried couple of Asian (viet) restaurants and were disappointed with their duck dish but this place changed my mind. The skin is crispy but still juicy inside, seasoned very well and unique, unlike the common “fast-food-like” fried duck from other restaurants (I’m a fan of fried duck). Ich bin eher zufällig in der Mittagspause in dieses Asia-Restaurant gekommen – und war sofort begeistert. Das Essen war so gut, dass wir, während unseres halbjährigen beruflichen Aufenthalts in der Gegend, praktisch die halbe Speisekarte rauf und runter probiert haben. Und ich muss sagen: Alles, wirklich alles, hat hervorragend geschmeckt!

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Thai-Curry – absolut legendär – und auch die Erdnusssoße ist ein Genuss. Die Inhaberin ist außerdem unglaublich freundlich und herzlich, was den Besuch noch angenehmer macht.

Es wird mir wirklich fehlen, dort nicht mehr regelmäßig essen zu können. Von all den Asia-Imbissen, die ich bisher besucht habe, gehört dieser hier ganz klar...
