Namaste World — Restaurant in Goslar

We stumbled across this gem of a restaurant while planning a hike in this small town, and were delighted to find such an authentic spot. The menu is impressively extensive, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming.

We ordered Indian chai (with milk) and several chaat items—Indian street food delicacies that are rare to find in most Indian restaurants here in Germany. Every dish exceeded our expectations. The bhel puri, a tangy, crunchy mix of puffed rice and a medley of chutneys, was bursting with flavor. The papdi chaat, made with crisp wafers and a blend of sweet and spicy chutneys, was equally delightful. The aloo channa chaat - a hearty mix of potatoes and chickpeas tossed in yoghurt and chutneys, and the samosa chaat - a comforting dish featuring crumbled samosas topped with chutneys and yogurt, were incredibly creamy, flavorful, and satisfying.

The portions were generous, and the price-to-quantity ratio was excellent in my opinion. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious, authentic Indian food! I would love to try some more dishes during...

we were a group of friends, and we were all really craving some good Indian food. We'd heard so much about Namaste World, so we decided to go check it out and try their lunch buffet. The food was incredible! They had all the classic Indian dishes you could want, like chicken tikka masala, gobi manchurian, lamb rogan josh, pakoras, fish fingers, mix veg, paneer butter masala – the works! Leider sehr, sehr enttäuschend ! Küche und Service komplett überfordert. Restaurant an einem Sonntagabend um 18:50 Uhr betreten, Bestellung um 19:30 Uhr abgegeben, Getränke 20:10 Uhr und Vorspeisen erst um 20:30 Uhr serviert bekommen. Okay, noch hielt sich die Stimmung und wir hatten auch Verständnis, da es ja praktisch allen Gästen so erging. Nach einer weiteren Stunde (!!!) immer noch keine Hauptspeisen - daher um 21:40 Uhr Rechnung bezahlt und Restaurant nach fast 3 Stunden Aufenthalt enttäuscht verlassen. Die 2-Mann-Bedienung (für Tresen und ca.20 Tische !!) war zwar nett und wirkte auch geschäftig, war aber hoffnungslos überfordert. Gäste, die im Gegensatz zu uns sogar eine Tischreservierung hatten, haben das Lokal nach 1 Stunde ohne Order wieder verlassen. Da es eigentlich alle Tische in dem uns einsehbaren Bereich betroffen hat und viele enttäuschte und z.T. genervte Gäste auf Bestellung, Getränke und Essen gewartet haben, handelte es sich auch um keine negative (Einzelfall-)Auslese. Abläufe am Tresen und bei der Bedienung wirkten schon ziemlich umprofessionell und chaotisch. Vielleicht sind ja auch plötzlich 3-4 Angestellte krankheitsbedingt ausgefallen - who knows? Empfehlung: Entweder Küche und Service personell aufrüsten oder kleinere Brötchen backen - maximal an 5 Tischen bedienen und Erfahrung bei den Abläufen sammeln. Da es sich um eine Touristenregion handelt, gibt es ja praktisch kaum Stammgäste - bei diesen mglw. dauerhaft vorzufindenden Verhältnissen, würde ansonsten eine baldige Schließung des Restaurants bevorstehen.
