Schiefer | Suite-Hotel • Steakhaus — Restaurant in Goslar

Dont make the same mistake as we did, When we decided to eat at Schiefer in Goslar, Harzen, Germany.

Location is nice, service is so slow a snail would say - Damn this is slow motion, service!

Tabels were not really clean had to clean it ourself.... it looked clean but it wasent (during Corona). Tables not cleaned between visitors, as we saw it.

Not many people in the restaurant (have since picture of how few visited) still had to wait 30 min just to order the food, should have left!!! If you are in the same situation, pay for your drinks and find a better place to eat, should not be difficult, even McDonnals 700 meters away at least have quicker service.

Natually the drinks were on the table quickly so we could order more when the food finally would arrive.

After 1 hour the food showed up! It gave me time to start this review. However we needed to ask for forks and knives but also salt & pepper, weird!...

Food quality was not bad, in general it was ok.... but difficult for them to make pasta with tomatsauce .... how can this be difficult to understand / order. Price 12 euros pretty expensive.

Another funny episode is, dogs seems to be allowed inside the restaurant !?!?! Not one of these dogs that can be in a handbag, but pretty big one. Maybe thats normal just not seen that before..Have a fine picture as well.

Dont visit Schiefer it will just ruin your mood and the food is nothing speciel.

We triede, but not going to revisit... positive note, the restrooms were fine..

They call it Goslar Steakhouse We called it Goslar...

We love this hotel for six reasons. First its lovely builds full with charms and decorations that sure will remind you of the Goslar old time living. Yet its amenity are all modern and comfortable. Second its location is unrivaled right in the Marktplatz and is very convenient to walk around old town. Third its breakfast is good with self-served ham, cheese, apples, breads with butter and jam. Fourth room is comfortable and clean but the first floor is the small living room and the second floor is the bedroom and bathroom. Fifth it has excellent steak and curry sausage at hotel restaurant reasonable price. Sixth the hotel has a convenient parking space with fee but it will be very convenient to park and walk around the charming old town. ||Note the this hotel building is the place you will witness the show of old charming clock that will play every day on 9am, 12am with the fun and lovely old dolls depicting the mining...

We stayed only one night at this hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly lady at reception who checked us in and showed us our room. The room was super, the bed was on an upper level, the bed was extremely comfortable, great quality towels and linen. Very clean and a very quiet sleep, no disturbances. Free water, coffee etc in the room and on the landing a small kitchen area with kettle, juice and apples.||We ate our evening meal in the shaded courtyard reserved for hotel guests outside. We had steak and frites, delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was efficient and very friendly. Equally breakfast next morning was a delight, so much choice at the buffet and eggs cooked to order.||All in all we have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel and restaurant and would recommend it to anyone.||Well done to the staff, keep up the...
