Recommended, a solid 4/5. My wife and I went here for lunch with our son of just over 1.5 years. They have a play corner next to family-reserved tables, as well as diaper changing tables in the restroom, overall very child-friendly. The food was definitely nice but not quite amazing. I had beef sausages with sauerkraut, fried potatoes and a beer gravy. The sausages (probably not made in-house but at a local butcher) were very, very good, the sauerkraut was fine, potatoes were good too, but the gravy was a little too watery and salty. My wife had a baked camembert which was quite nice. We also had two cured pork sausages. To drink I had a dark gose, brewed in-house. I only ever had light gose before, which has always been slightly salty and acidic. The dark one still had a slight acidity, but a touch more sweetness and no saltiness, with some pleasant caramelly malt notes. More refreshing than the color would suggest. You could also sense the wheat relatively clearly, but in a nice way. I'm not a weissbier fan, but dark gose - yes please. However, our waitress was not very friendly. She was acting a bit strange and mostly seemed like she didn't want to deal with us. Maybe that's the case, but it's unprofessional to show it to the customer... The other staff I interacted with were friendly enough. All in all, I'd say definitely worth a visit.

The food was good, nothing exceptional but there is a good choice of traditional German food, with locally brewed beer pairing - we had the schnitzel and the käsespätzle with mushrooms and tried the Gose (hell and dunkel) which were quite good! After we had our main course we had to wait a long time and waive repeatedly to the waiters (who ignored us) to order coffee and the check, which was a bit annoying, but I’d still recommend it as a good place for a good German experience on the lovely church square of Goslar.

Liebe...
