Markgräfler Winzerstuben is the kind of place that reminds you why dinner with people you care about matters. Everything from the menu to the building itself is centered around tradition, quality, and investing time in relationships.

The food was phenomenal. The Schnaiker Schniddle was a great way to start. The Roasted Goat Cheese Mozzarella was my personal favorite, packed with some of the most flavorful cheese I’ve ever had. The Badisches Maultäschle stood out with its perfect noodle texture and rich, savory meat. For dessert, “Irresistible Desire” was a solid brownie classic with ice cream, but the Lemon Buttermilk Ice Cream stole the show. It was super sweet, and the seeds added an extra flair. Also, don’t skip the roast beef.

They’ve built 50-year partnerships to get the best ingredients, and you can tell. Every dish has a story. Recipes are generationally preserved but they add just enough of a twist to make each one unique.

The service was awesome. We were constantly checked in on, even with our large group. The space itself is historic and full of character, with seating in different rooms that each have their own backstory. Some parts of the building are over 200 years old, and everything has been done to keep it feeling authentic.

This place does German food right. It is authentic, thoughtful, and...

Our large enthusiastic cycling group dined here and had the best meal of our trip. Many chose the special menu items that were patiently explained by the proprietor”Yurk’”(apologies for any misspelling). We all wanted to enjoy the wine of the region and traditional foods and we were not disappointed. Everyone raves about starters and mains, and perfect wine pairings. Most impressively Yurk shared his farm up table approach, with all ingredients found within a 35 mile radius. We were charmed by his passion and high quality. The night ended with a visit to the wine cellar and delicious green walnut liquor. It was an unforgettable evening and I highly encourage you to visit Yurk as soon...

Our group is in from America, we had an absolutely amazing experience! It was a top 5 experience in our well traveled lives for 8 of us! We were treated with a 5 star experience with incredible German food made with local ingredients and love! We drank incredible wine from the local region and schnapps. All of it was curated from the owner and chef! He truly leads with his heart and has so much passion for his family, his country, his community and food! We felt it all night! I have never stayed at a dinner for 3.5 hours and not wanted it to end! Touring the space and one of a kind wine room! Thank you for the most incredible...

We had a great dinner here. We found the wait staff to be fantastic. And you have to try the schnapps’s as they are very tasty. Do not miss out on the Black Forest Tiramisu. We also met the owner Jorg who then offered us a tour of the old farmhouse which is now a fantastic restaurant with an amazing wine cellar and some very interesting history with over 200 bottles of wine. this is a must stop on your visit. It has an amazing patio. And we got a table without any reservations. If you have more than one day make sure to ask Jorg about his sisters Black Forest cake.
