JIN Bistro — Restaurant in Halle (Saale)

Firstly, the food is not authentic. I ordered a Mandu plate and the Bibimbap. The dumplings were average and the dough was a bit chewy. But the filling was very nice, and I liked that it was served in the bamboo tray.

The Bibimbap was very disappointing, it was served in a regular Ikea bowl. Not in a stone or clay bowl that would keep the heat while you stir the ingredients. So by the time I had satisfactorily mixed everything, the food was cold. Still, I liked the rice and I'm not sure if the noodles are meant to be in the bowl. The toppings were sparse and basic. The kimchi was too sour, but that is just my taste.

They took very long to serve the food and I'm not sure if they are short-staffed. Overall, everything tasted like something I could make at home at a fraction of the price I paid for it.

My favorite restaurant in Halle. Good quality ingredients, well made, and the service is friendly and casual. Very comfortable ambience, not stuffy or imbiss-like. Seems to be a family joint. From the bar seats you can see the kitchen and it appeared very clean. Everything was freshly made.

The portions are very reasonable given the price (around 10 euros a dish) - I do not understand this complaint from other reviewers. It just does not include an oversized menu with huge slabs of meat for 14+ euros like most other...

The place is nice and the foods are great. I'd rate them 8/10. I had Ramyun with Beef Mandu. The soup was very nice but the too little noodle. The Beef Mandu tasted good. I also had some Bimbimbap with beef. The plating is nice, it tasted good but there's too little rice. In conclusion, the problem is just the portion of the food.
