Shiva — Restaurant in Halle (Saale)

Went there for the first time on a Saturday evening without reservation but could not get a table as it was completely full. So we planned to visit again on a Saturday afternoon and reserved a table this time. The restaurant was completely empty this time except for our one table all through the 2 hours we were there. Haven't earlier seen any restaurant as empty on a Saturday. Coming to the food, we ordered momos as starter and they were really tasty with the perfect fillings in both veg and non-veg ones and paired with a delicious spicy chutney. The main course however did not live up to the standard and was average at best. Chicken-do-pyaza was quite watery and tasted just like a normal curry rather than do-pyaza. We also ordered Hyderabadi lamb biryani which had the perfect spice level, but it's incredibly wrong to put veggies like carrot and mushroom into a Hyderabadi lamb biryani. Please revisit the cookbook for the biryani recipe. Might go back just...

Went to this amazing restaurant few days ago with my family while we are on holiday . We had the most wonderful time . The food is absolutely lovely ! The Hotel is managed very well and the staff are very friendly and always have smile on their face ....

We had the tasting menu (non-vegetarian) and it was simply outstanding. The special Chapati Roti and Daal was the best ! Best and most memorable meal we had on our vacation to Germany and environs. Good food and pleasant atmosphere. Conveniently located near and easy to find too !

gebe es 6 Sterne für den Service , dann sind es hier definitiv 6 +++++.Dieses Restaurante wurde uns von einem anderen Indischen Restaurant empfohlen, da es selbst Urlaub hat. Also Tisch im Shiva bestellt, Empfangen hat uns kein indisches Personal sondern eine deutsche Dame. Ich weiss gar nicht wann ich/wir das letzte mal so freundlich😀😀😀 empfangen wurden. Top!! 👍👍👍Als wir unsere Getränke wählten , entschied ich mich für den Hauswein Rot🍷 - mir wurde erst eine Kostprobe /trocken - angeboten, was ich super fand👍. Der Wein war sehr gut , was meinen Geschmack betrifft. Vergesst nicht, jeder hat einen anderen Geschmack!! Vorspeise war ebenfalls sehr gut, es gab 3 Saucen zu den verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten..., diese wurden - ohne das wir gefragt haben , nur allein durch Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienung wieder aufgefüllt. Bei der Bestellung des Hauptgerichtes , diskutierten wir als Gäste [ Oma, Mutter, Tochter ] ob uns der Korinder zu seifig schmeckt aber wir kamen irgendwie nicht auf den Punkt. Die Bedienung stellte uns von sich aus daher ein Schälchen mit frischen Korianderblättern🌿🌿 hin. Wir probierten....ich entschied mich gegen Kori 🌿🌿🌿..muss man mögen , ich mag den 🌿🌿🌿🫥 nicht. Hauptgericht super lecker...für Fleischesser bis Vegetarier alles im Angebot...Nachspeise kann ich nichts zu sagen, Wir waren nach dem Hauptgang alle satt.Am Schluss gab es noch vom Restaurant ein Mangoschnaps😍 spendiert. Eins steht fest, wir kommen wieder👍👍👍👍👍...Preis/Leistung top....da gibt man gern ein Trinkgeld ...noch...
