I am GENUINELY shocked that the rating is so high. I wasn’t going to say something because regardless of the absolute joke of an interpretation of this food is, I want people to be curious and businesses to succeed. But let’s call this what it is: a disappointing failure at authenticity possibly to appeal to a gentle German pallet. Traditionally, these dishes are served properly spicy, and the texture of the noodles should be thick and chewy. What I experienced both as take away and again to be sure in restaurant was just plain gross. The noodle texture was wrong - too thin and over cooked. The sauce was way too oily. The meat was bland. Everything was disappointing if you know and love this traditional cuisine. It’s one of my favorite dishes among the Chinese food diaspora, and I cannot express my disappointment more. Good for you for continually being busily open, and for people to try something new for them, but if you know proper Xi’an style bang bang noodles, you will be disappointed. If your taste buds aren’t so well traveled, enjoy. But this is inauthentic and...

After my last hand pulled noodle experience in Berlin, I was really excited that Hamburg was getting something similar. My mum and I went to try this place out. The restaurant has been decorated in hip industrial kind of way and it located in the basement of a housing block. Service was friendly and swift without a doubt. We ordered a few starters, dumplings, silky Tofu and Kimchi as well as two hand pulled noodles, beef and chicken. The food arrived fairly quick. The dumplings were nice, more like a gyoza type, the silt Tofu was topped with a spicy soy sauce mixture and not bad either. Kimchi was a standard one, I didn't expect anything over the top. The main courses were served shortly after and whilst it looked and tasted nice, I was mainly disappointed with the fact that it was lukewarm. Nothing annoys me more than being served food that is not hot. The taste itself was good and the spicyness of the dish was just right. But the fact that we were not served got food is really disappointing. Maybe it will be...

The best (and only) place of this kind in the whole city

Price is good and cash only is just temporary as they claim

The noodles and cucumber were exceptional

Spicy level is great, although it is definitely not recommended for people who don't like spicy

Unfortunately server got our orders mixed and my dining companion who can't handle spiciness didn't have a pleasant experience which is unfortunate. The hard spiciness took a bit to kick in, I'm sure they would have re-made the dish for us but we were alredy halfway in

On my side, a great experience

Quality is not Weng Cheng level but it's not extremely far from it

Price is great . If you like this kind of food, this is hands down the best...

Nice location and quite good hand pulled noodles. The portions are sufficient not very not too big. The chilli oil is also quite good. The tables near the entrance are not very confortable nor stable! The chairs do not fit to the table and make you feel you are sitting way too low. It was easier to eat stand up. That day there was no beer! Nor the main entrance dish which was disappointing. The homemade limonade is nothing special it is an over priced mixed of bottled maracuya and mago juice extra sweet. You can do much better than that! The staff was very friendly including the cooker making the hand pulled noodles.

Kept coming back for the cowcow. The handpulled noodles were just right, not too thick, perfect width, easy to chew. The fact that I don't get break outs from the chili oil is a big plus. It is not that greasy compared to the original ones served in China. The only thing that could be improve is the seating, I wish there's a little more space. I personally have not spent more than 45 minutes to an hour here, it was still uncomfortable, especially for taller folks. I like the weekly homemade drinks, but agreed with other comments that it's overpriced.
