Gyropolis - Greek Street Food — Restaurant in Hamburg

Every time I am in the neighbourhood, I want to eat here. Whether to have lamb or any type of gyros and popular Greek dishes, I always leave the place very happy and satisfied. I have been here at least 4 times and I lways forget to try the Bifteki, but I will certainly do next time. They have very attractive lunch menus with some discount on weekdays!

The only opportunity to improve for me would be to accept credit card payment. At least two times I've had struggled because we need to pay with cash. Nevertheless, I will make sure to bring enough...

Unfortunately the gyros was below my expectations. The meat was not great quality and despite the spices this could not be hidden. Felt heavy and difficult to digest this.

Also, the gyros grill was huge, it is impossible to be consumed within a day or two. This brings questions about the freshness.

I hope it was just a bad day for them, but my experience was below average, even for out of Greece lowered standards. The personnel and the service was polite and fast. Nobody was speaking greek, but this was...

Look: I really, really like gyros. But in lots of places around the world, shops will sell you random bits of cooked meat with some yoghurt mess on top and call it a gyros.

This shop however, sells actual gyros. Like what you get in Athens. Crispy, yet soft, fatty and tasty bits of meat, served with a decent Tsatziki and fresh (red) onions on top. All served in a pita in such a way that it's impossible to eat without making a huge mess.
