I had the grilled meat and fries while my wife (who has a lot of allergies and is pregnant) had a steak with mushrooms.
The waiter was quite pushy for my wife to have a chicken salad with no dressing, but as she didn't want a salad it became quite the back and forth to convince the kitchen to accommodate her allergies. We had stayed in a different hotel the night before who had actually pre prepared multiple choices for her and charged much less for better tasting food.
Overall the food was quite bland, and the chicken was overly salty, the lamb and steak had very little flavour and the fries just tasted like very basic frozen fries. The grilled meat could have come with something like a green peppercorn sauce which would have helped a lot, but for 35 euros you get a portion of fries and 3 pieces of meat and some ketchup and mayo. Nothing about either meal felt worth the cost.
The service was fine, if a little unfriendly at times.

Read moreMy family and I have been regulars at the Courtyard airport and it’s catering facilities for many years. Not once were we disappointed. After the recent ground-up renovation and re-naming (Concorde became Horizon) it was time to visit again. Still the same cozy atmosphere yet with a welcome change of colors and an unstuffy feel of minimalism and modernity. Turquoise abounds and the choice of light wooden surfaces adds to the airiness. Service as good as ever. Personal, competent, forthcoming... including the right recommendation of wine with the meals we chose. With Chanterelles in season, we opted for two different dishes from this range while my son went for a mix of seafood platter with wasabi potato purée. Tasty and fresh as well as satisfying! A good culinary start into the time after corvid 19 for a hotel & restaurant team that deserves...
Read moreA Good Dinner Option When Staying at the CY Hotel
We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and usually drove to the city for dinner, often ending up disappointed with our choices (see previous reviews). This time, we decided to dine at Horizon Restaurant, and it turned out to be a great choice.
The dinner included three courses, all of which were tasty. They also allowed us to opt for three courses without dessert at the same price.
Our meal included: • Pepper soup – very flavorful and delicious. • Scallops – excellent. • Pork and bacon dish – quite ordinary and, in my opinion, a bit too dry.
Bottom Line:
This restaurant is highly recommended, especially if you’re staying at the CY...
