A mixed experience. First when we arrived they didnt have the booking, we had a confimation for, but to their defense, they used a paper notebook, and we had only booked 2 hours before, so probably didnt get written in the paper book. We got a table anyways. Which was nice and the waiter was sweet.
We then order and recieved the starter, but then, they forget our Main dish. We ask for it after 40 min. cause everybody that came after us, already got their food, and we ordered something very simple. Which had also been served to our neightboor tables. The guy in charge told us, "no no we havent forgotten you, its comming right away." which was clearly a lie, he had no idea and didnt do anything about it. meanwhile the table next to us was place way to close (Specially doing covid) and the old man waiter refuse to go where is made for them to go between tables, which resulted in him walking in to me while i was sitting, multiple times, no sorry nothing, just kept doing the same thing. after 15 min. we ask our own waiter, the sweet girl, if our food is comming or if we can pay and leave, and she says the same again, but this time it came, after more than 1 hour wait. and she actually apollogiesed and offered us a free drink on the house, which was fine, she made the stars go up to 3 stars, because it was chaos in there, so you cant blame her, and she was very sweet about it. But it seemed like they cared more about the take away orders, which they got a lot of. i think thats from people who has been there once before, because the food was good. the service was chaotic tho, and tables where to close, specially with a inconcidered waiter and Covid going on, in a country like germany where people blow their noses constantly, at their table, while you are eating.
Next time i wanna eat there, its gonna...
Read moreNOT RECOMMENDED. We had reservation, called up half hour before reserved time to double confirm, were asked to come, and then denied entry. I see similar feedback from other Indians as well. Svaadish accomplished their mission to have a grand opening only with 'non-brown skinned people'. And now, there is an apology floating everywhere with all possible excuses - because we Indians are known to be 'emotionally weak' that when someone apologizes we forget everything and come together. Not this time, and not for this behavior. How does all kind of reasons like miscommunication, 'learning curve' , 'first day nerves' affect only the Indians ? Clearly, Well planned strategy to avoid Indians on the opening day. Well, if not on the opening day, never on any other day. You can serve Indian food to the locals with a bland / non spicy flavor - fine. You can mention in the opening day invite that the event is not for Indians - fine. But to call the family for having food and then denying entry? Its all in the upbringing. Indian tradition is such that people switch on the stove even after closing time to feed the hungry ones.. I've traveled to multiple countries, have eaten in different outlets / restaurants, places, cuisine - never seen this kind of an attitude. NEVER AGAIN going there. Svaadish - You S@#k !
(Note - I so want to use the R word because it is a through fit here , but then the review will not be...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! ZERO SAFETY!
If you value your life, health & safety, do not step into this place! All the fancy decor will not cover the utter disregard for basic hygiene and quality control of the food you are serving for your guests.
As you can see in the attached picture, along with our Biryani we were served with a free topping in the form of a STAPLER PIN and we had to remove it from the mouth. Luckily, it didn't cause much harm that night, but when we reported them to the local staff on how such a dangerous piece of metal can enter the kitchen, let alone the customer's plate, we were quite appalled by the first reactions we received and they had no clue whatsoever.
Had a tough time deciding which one was worse, whether their lack of basic hygiene measures in the kitchen or the empathy towards the guests.
After the disappointing scene at the restaurant, we decided to write to the owner directly, who is known for their rich gastronomic traditions, but do not have the basic courtesy to respond / acknowledge to a communication yet. Wonder, why are they in the hospitality industry in the first place.
Never stepping in again and wish Google had a feature to give Zero stars rating in...
