Rumpelkammer — Restaurant in Hanover

Cozy corner bar in a neighborhood north of the Hauptbahnhof. Very convenient location to the subway. A hangout for a variety of locals. Friendly staff. Restrooms are up a floor via a narrow spiral stair, and not handicap accessible, but they are modern and well-maintained. I was the guest of a relative who frequents this bar, but I think I would enjoy visiting on my own. The tuba hanging on the wall is apparently in playing condition, so extra points to them for not simply turning it...

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man hat dort eine entspannte Atmosphäre, deswegen drei Sterne. Gestern allerdings war es anders. Ich kam dort um kurz vor 15Uhr mit meinen beiden Hunden an und wollte nur ein schnelles Bier trinken und auf meine Begleitung warten. Als ich rein kam saß am Ende ein Herr, der anscheinend auch zwei Hunde dabei hatte. Da seine Hunde nicht angeleint waren und er (seine Worte zu einem Mann neben ihm) keine Lust habe diese anzuleinen, das sei ihm zu anstrengend wurde mir dann zugerufen ich solle mit meinen Hunden doch gehen, er habe keine Lust darauf (wohl bemerkt, seine Hunde wollten zu meinen und er sie nicht für eine kurze Zeit anleinen). Er sagt dann "Ich bin der Chef, du solltest gehen". Meine Begleitung die inzwischen da war, trank mein Bier auf ex und wir gingen. Insgesamt war ich 7min da und vorerst auch das letzte Mal. Schade, dass ausgerechnet der "Chef" nicht das freundliche Verhalten seiner Mitarbeiter übernommen hat. Ich hoffe das er zu...

Lovely pub, all wood, good service and no loud music.
