COBAMI Vietnamese Cuisine — Restaurant in Hesse

As an Asian with very high standards for Vietnamese food this place met them all. Awesome price, awesome quality, and awesome portions. With neither criteria compromised. I’ve been living here in Darmstadt for 4 years and always was quite irritated having to drive to Frankfurt or the area to find a decent Vietnamese restaurant.

Their menu offers a very focused Vietnamese menu from Pho, mango salads, to rice salad bowls. My wife and I were very happy with the family plate for 2 (which my young kid could also enjoy from.). There was everything from fresh salad, springtails to marinated meats, and soup with dumplings. The servers were very accommodating, and we got chatting quite easily. Ordered the Korean Steak Barbecue, and unfortunately got disappointed. It was full of tendons and served on top of an otherwise overfull plate making it impossibleto cut. To top it all off the knive they specifically gave me specifically for the steak was so dull I had to get out my pocket knife to get through some of it. My mother complained about it and the service only said "we are sorry", thats it.

Edit: The cobami team has apologized and offered reconciliation (read their review reply), this is value highly. Which is why improved the Service score. Unfortunately they tried to take down this review via the Google legal system for Defamation, to which I appealed throgh providing evidence and won. This shines rather a bad light...

I dont understand why they dont pick up the phone. I had 2 Meals to take away. They mix up ingredients (in our case they put peanut in a dish without letting us know) my girlsfriend is allergic.. and i dont eat shiitake so that we could swap the meals….also they made it way too spicy and it shouldnt even be spicy at all …we live outside the city.. so we were forced to throw it away as we couldnt even give it to the needed. To summ it all up … Bad Service - They dont Respect the kitchen neither the Client ….at least pick up the phone it would save you the comment here...
