Le Cafe Bleu — Restaurant in Hesse

A couple of days ago me and my girlfriends went there to drink coffee after our lectures. We were carrying our university bags. After we sat down my friend drank one sip of her water bottle, a waiter came rushing at us and told that we cannot drink our own water since it was provided there. She was extremely mean with us and she refused service. She asked us to leave?? As we were leaving everyone who saw the scene, agreed with us and showed their support. I was a loyal customer since I came to darmstadt for university. What really sad was, I was the one recommended this place to my friends and it was their first time. What a shameful experience. Wouldn't go there if I didn't want...

Even though Google still says Le Cafe Bleu, this place is now called Blue Bee and has new management. This was always my favorite cafe in Darmstadt, not just for the delicious food, which is still amazing, but also for the super friendly and attentive staff, which in our last experience was non-existent. The server didn't smile and never checked in on us, and there were only two other tables with customers. The cafe was also quite cold in our opinion. I was sitting next to a heater and it was turned off. That was our first experience at Blue Bee in early January and we have not been back since but we hope their service has improved or...

Aktualisiert 09.2025 Mittlerweile schon etwas länger unter neuer Führung waren wir diese Woche um die Mittagszeit im bluebee. Ein paar Tage zuvor war ich alleine frühstücken. Einrichtung, Ambiente, wie gehabt. Kaffee und Tee sind super und kommen wie bestellt. Zum Frühstück wählte ich das Délice Italien. Hat mir gut geschmeckt. Das Brötchen war lecker und durch seine Größe voll ausreichend. Die dazugehörigen Aufstriche super lecker. Schinken und Wurst mit gutem Geschmack. Einzig hat mir ganz persönlich etwas Butter dabei gefehlt. Zusätzlich hatte ich noch ein gekochtes Ei, da wurde ich gefragt, ob ich es weich oder hart haben möchte. Zum Mittag hatten wir Quiche mit Salat und eine Kürbiscremesuppe. Beides hervorragend. Der Quiche schmeckte mir persönlich sogar noch etwas besser als es bei der Vorgängerin war. Fast vergessen: Der Zwetschgenkuchen war super. Viel Teig ist sonst nicht unser Ding, doch der war sehr lecker. Haben mitbekommen, das man im bluebee Torten und Kuchen bestellen kann, sicher einen Versuch wert.

Unsere Erfahrung mit dem Service war übrigens hervorragend. Nett, freundlich, unaufdringlich, zuvorkommend, auskunftsbereit und -fähig. Lag es an uns? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Café gut, Schockmoc ebenfalls lecker. Der anschließende Cocktail Bleue versetzte uns in die Provence. Die Bedienung war freundlich, zuvorkommend und fragte nach um bei Bestellung genau zu sein, top.
