The customer service at this establishment is unfortunately unacceptable. This restaurant does not accept Visa or MasterCard payment methods, two of the most popular payment methods on the planet and in Germany. If you do not have cash, you will be forced to surrender your ID card and walk ~500m to the nearest ATM on a Sunday. The staff did not apologise for any inconveniences caused by this and went on to almost overcharge us and give incorrect change which we luckily corrected.

I can see that the owner likes to blame customers for having a bad experience and is of the opinion that customers should consider the thoughts of the staff. For this reason I would invite the owner to educate themselves on the concept of hospitality and what it means to offer paying (or attempting to pay customers) a good experience. The food that you make is great, maybe you should stay in the kitchen and employ a hospitality manager who understands the concept of...

Last time we were here in January 2024 they had waiters and the service was very friendly. I was able to relax and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.

When we returned for the summer months here I was very disappointed to learn it’s self service now.

It’s no longer a place one can relax and dine without getting up and down for your meal, drinks and desserts…

It’s sad to see most of the customers are now gone. In the past the place was quite busy giving the place a very pleasant atmosphere.

Please consider returning to a full service establishment....

Wir waren früher sehr oft dort zum Frühstücken oder Kaffeetrinken. Aber das lohnt sich nicht mehr. Service gibt es keinen mehr, Selbstbedienung an der Theke, das OG ist geschlossen. Das Personal an der Theke steht rum, ist beim Bedienen sehr lustlos, fragt einen Posten nach dem anderen ab, macht als erstes den Kaffee, so dass dieser dann abgekühlt ist, wenn man endlich den Rest bestellt, bezahlt und sich einen Platz gesucht hat. Kommunikation mit dem Kunden findet nicht statt. Man hat das Gefühl, zu stören. Selten jemanden erlebt, der so lustlos und gelangweilt ist beim Kuhn. Der Cafébereich ist ungepflegt und dreckig. Dreckbatzen auf dem Fußboden (es war trocken draußen), Krümel und Marmeladeflecken auf den Tischen. Man macht sich (wir waren gegen 11:45 Uhr da) nicht mal die Mühe, die Stühle von den Tischen zu räumen. Obwohl wenig los ist und Personal untätig rumsteht, werden die Tische nicht abgewischt oder mal nach dem Rechten geschaut. Gehbehinderten wird nicht angeboten, die Bestellung an den Tisch zu bringen. Früher war das anders, super Service, ausgesuchtes Personal und wenn man Kuhn selbst erlebt hat, der hat für Ordnung gesorgt. Klar, es ist schwer, gutes Personal zu finden, aber bei den Preisen erwarte ich als zahlender Gast anderes. Ich muss auch hart für mein Geld arbeiten und ich hab auch mal in einer Bäckerei gearbeitet für weniger Geld als das, was man beim Kuhn verdient. Ich weiß also, wovon ich rede....
