Gourmet Tempel — Restaurant in Kaiserslautern

I wouldn’t waste my time here. Customer service is disgusting and that’s why I will never come back. Food isn’t all that great but for what you pay, you can’t expect fine dining.

My first thought : I waited for a plate of grilled food to be delivered to my table and they lost my first plate (gave it to someone else) I waited 20-30mins. Second plate, I had to try again, arrived within 20-30mins with extra’s i never put there. Enough to put me off.

I still paid them without complaining because some food items were okay. Even gave them a tip because you can’t blame all the servers. Things happen, Its Friday its busy, i’m not going to give them a hard time about it.

That is until the same guy I just paid, must be the manager, chased after me for carrying out 2 x already opened drinks that me and friend were drinking. They were going to go to waste so I thought take them with me. They made a huge scene about it and embarrassed me in-front of people over something so ridiculous. I left the bottles there and I vowed to never come back.

My advice: find an alternative place to eat. If not, pay before you sit down, especially if you’re in larger groups or you will get some “extra” people you need to pay for at the end. Grilled food, be prepared for extra’s and long wait times or possible disappearances. And don’t even bother trying to take something you haven’t finished with you. You’ll be chased like...

The food is decent here, but the service, though friendly, leaves something to be desired. We only fill up on sushi and the Mongolian grill seafood so we feel like we get our money's worth without eating so much. The hot "Chinese" food isn't that great, and they have a whole row of fried food which is just too heavy for us to enjoy. The menu does change slightly everyday, but most of it remains the same. I never eat the desserts, but there is a huge selection of desserts that look pretty good.

We've been here when it's busy and the wait has never been long - if at all. If you are a larger group a reservation is definitely recommended. When it's busy they don't do the best job of bringing you drinks or by refilling empty dishes on the buffet, but they aren't standing around doing nothing during this time. It's just...

This is a good Asian buffet in Kaiserslautern. If you’re looking for a wide selection of Chinese and sushi offerings, their buffet was kept very fresh when I visited. Desserts were many and small, so many could be tried without over-indulgence. Their all-you-can drink selection of soft drinks, beer, wine and water was included with the one-price meal. The alcoholic drink selection was limited to a couple German pils and 1-2 basic red/white wines, but good enough to meet expectations.
