Eis Cassata Karlsruhe — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

I love the gelatos here - tried out random flavors and never a miss. Simply delicious every time. However, I feel like their scoops are somewhat small thus the 4*. Opening hours can differ from what’s stated in google because I went there 30 min before stated closing time and they’re already fully closed so maybe don’t come too late. There’s no indoor seating, if I remember correctly - just 3-4 benches outside as this place is rather small. They do have tables...

This may be a hyped Ice Cream location in Karlsruhe, but there are a lot of downfalls. I took three cones each having two different ice cream flavours in them. The staff handle cash and the waffle cones with bare hands. There goes the hygiene. There was a massive queue when we arrived at 5:15pm. Das Eiscafé ist sehr unscheinbar (anfangs habe ich mich gar nicht reingetraut ^^), aber es ist wirklich empfehlenswert. Es bietet immer wechselnde Sorten, die einfach nur köstlich sind - auch mal tolle Eigenkreationen wie z.B. Physalis-Avocado, Orange-Basilikum, Indisch Ladoos, Bauernschmand, aber auch leckere Sorten wie Raffaelo, Snickers, Baileys, Bacio usw. Es lohnt sich, immer mal wieder reinzuschauen, was es denn heute mal gibt.

Für den Verzehr vor Ort: sehr zu empfehlen sind die Bonuskarten (quasi zahle 20 Kugeln, bekomme 22 bzw. zahle 10 Kugeln, bekomme 11 Kugeln). Eisbecher gibt es dort auch - ebenfalls super lecker :)

Alternativ gibt es auch Eisbehälter (500ml) zum Abholen - lohnt sich gerade in der aktuellen Zeit. Dafür einfach vorab per WhatsApp oder Telefon bestellen und dann nach Absprache vorbeigehen und mitnehmen. So kann man zu Hause bis zum Umfallen schlemmen :D

Nicht zu unterschlagen: super netter, freundlicher Service. Da gibt es nichts...
