Das Tandoorwerk indisches Restaurant — Restaurant in Kulmbach

I'm glad I found this Resraurant. One of the very few Authentic Indian Restaurants in Europe! I have been to many Indian Restaurants in Europe where the flavours are artificially enhanced and too many colours were added and as an Indian, I can assure you all that is not what Genuine Indian food is!

I was amazed by how some food from this Restaurant actually tasted just like home (reminded me of my Grandma's cooking), the right amount of flavour and top quality meat! The place could do with more staff though. The Restaurant is crowded on most days and the staff do feel the pressure. Took my friends on a recommendation of another friend and all three of my friends loved it there. I for one, can't wait to take my family there for a delicious evening! I just saw the food, and I knew this was the place I've been searching all over Germany😍. I went there with some of my friends and they welcomed us with a full heart and exciting food.

We tried the South Indian-style food here, and it was absolutely amazing! Every detail, down to the smallest ingredient, was perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful and more than worth the price. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. A truly delightful experience!!

The food is very good quality and as far as I can tell, 100% authentic. They put a lot of effort into making the guests happy.

Update from my earlier review: they've invested a lot and expanded their menu extensively. Das Tandoorwerk is now better than ever! Another review says it's the best Indian restaurant in Bayern, and while I don't know if that's true, this is certainly far far better than one might expect in a little town like Kulmbach. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who really enjoys Indian cooking and wants to compare with other places. I think you'll have trouble finding better...
