Service and scenery are great here! The pickles are great - obviously because this area is known for its pickles. The food was delivered hastily and I would say it was fine German cuisine. I’ve never been too fond of German food but I can’t really hold that against them because everything was prepared well.

I don’t wanna understate how good the service was here, I would say it was exceptional. The waiter checked on us several times but not in an obtrusive way either, he was very friendly too. The only negative is they didn’t offer much in the way of non alcoholic beverages, no coke light or any sugar free drinks other than tee.

Great local German/Sorbian food. Cheaper than expected: definitely not as expensive as places in Lübbenau. You order and pay at the buffet and if you’re lucky enough, you can sit outside and watch the canal. We weren’t but it was cozy and fresh inside! Ich komme nicht umhin zu erwähnen, dass Zitronenlimonade nicht auf der großen Tafel zu finden war. Watson hatte Appetit darauf und war zunächst verwirrt, etwas derartiges nicht auf der Tafel zu finden. Die Wirtin, auf das fehlende Schriftliche hingewiesen, fiel aus allen Wolken, denn es war wohl über einen sehr langen Zeitraum nicht aufgefallen. So war ich denn bemüßigt der Dame zu helfen - auch wenn ich eigentlich Professor Moriarty hier vermutete und nicht wirklich zum Vergnügen unterwegs war. Doch dieser Dame, auch wenn dem gemeinen Leser meine Distanz zu Frauen bekannt ist, musste ich einfach helfen. Der Milchreis war fantastisch. Ebenso der Krautsalat.
