Wanapa Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Landsberg am Lech

Interesting little spot, and certainly a decent place to enjoy a couple of drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to see it run by Thai owners, which initially raised my expectations for the food. We ordered the Thai noodles with chicken and the red Thai curry, both with high hopes.

Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing. The noodles turned out to be basic instant-style noodles, sautéed with frozen vegetables and chicken strips — more reminiscent of a quick five-minute snack than a restaurant dish. The red Thai curry didn’t fare much better. It lacked the flavour one typically expects, and instead tasted like a watered-down stir-fry with soy and fish sauce. The same frozen vegetables made another appearance, and the courgettes in particular were unpleasantly bitter.

If you’re looking for authentic Asian cuisine, I’d suggest giving this place a miss. However, as a casual bar to grab a drink, it has a nice vibe and the owners were genuinely warm...

Highly recommend to try out this restaurant if you plan to visit Landsberg am Lech. You can locate this restaurant soon after you cross the main bridge. Authentic Thai food with a decent spice level. We tried the ente rot curry and pad kha pao(garnelen) and both were very good, especially the fried duck. Parking near the restaurant can be cumbersome, suggesting to park before and walk. The duck was a bit dry but still was really tasty, te curry sauce was delicious.

The staff was friendly and quick, they serve my good really fast.

I recommend it and would go again on a chance.

The portion are big enough to fill my belly and price are fair or even cheap.
