McDonald's — Restaurant in Leinfelden-Echterdingen

My husband went to get us two vegan burgers along with two fries a Pepsi and sprite. My husband digitally ordered two vegan burger. We were mortified when we received the order (yes, because neither of us have ever ate meat, fish or chicken), because after specifically ordering the Vegan burger at McDonalds he still served us a hamburger. By the time we opened it and took a bite, we realised it wasn’t vegan and immediately spat it out. Soon after we had to get on the bus to Reutlingen, where my husband called them to explain the situation after. While on call the guy who served him picked it up and my husband told him off saying that this was not what we asked for, to which the cashier guy replied hamburger is vegan. At first my husband thought he couldn’t understand German and hence my husband asked him if he understood German (as his ethnicity was Indian), to which he hung up. We tried several times after that and an employee picked up and apologised about what happened and said he will refund the money. There are two thoughts which have caused myself and my husband to write this review we are and have been vegans/vegetarians and we specifically ordered for the Vegan burger, secondly when we called to complain the employee was super rude and lacked a basic understanding of the difference between vegan and hamburger. Very nice people, even when they got my order wrong i didnt notice. But the service guy he came and told me, apologized and changed it immediately. Very nice to communicate with them. Food was amazingly made and good. And we got to know people in the place over minecraft games and opened gaming subjects. These imbeciles wouldn't give me ketchup. Claiming, "you have to pay extra for it". The barely functioning cashier attendant helpfully neglected to ask during the initial transaction whether any was required.
