Café Ristorante Da Capo — Restaurant in Lindau (Bodensee)

We have visited this restaurant 20 minutes ago and yes it was very busy. Most of the people were having pizza and beer and because not too many restaurants are open at this specific time in Lindau, everybody goes there. Long story short we got red wine and prosecco, antipasto small, bacon qnd onion pasta and Lasagne. I cannot talk about the service as i have not had such a bad one in quite a while. I think it must have been because they were understaffed. The starter in an Italian restaurant had veggies and 5 slices of salami picante! :) Lasagna was big in portion,i found it good but the pasta for the other dish was a disaster. Over cooked and not good. It was brough to us second time because the first time it was the order for a different table. We didnt eat the pasta dish and sent it back without taking it from the bill. Its sad to see that Italians dont know how to cook good pasta. At the end we were told the service fee is not included in the bill. What service? We will not return nor we recommend...

A Blackmole in the otherwise pleasant Lindau Island. As we were walking we stumbled on this nightmare restaurant. Very rude and arrogant staff. Not at all friendly. From the beginning itself very rude waiter. Can't speak English and not good German . When we starting speaking in German he was very rude. Strongly recommend not to go to this place. It just ruins the holiday mood. We were group of 6 people, as we started ordering, the waiter started speaking very rudely. As we started ordering the drinks, Instead of saying that they don't have that right now, he was giving us lecture that what a restaurant means and told to go to another restaurant. And then he started humiliating us and told to go away( in German he said hau ab, that's very rude and mean). As we got up to go away from the restaurant he starting shouting at us. Why even have something in the Menu when you can't serve it? ( 6 people ordered different stuff). Racistic and very...

Horrible experience! It's ridiculous how these kind of people still manage to get through... So today we went to this cafe at around 8pm (yes, an hour and half ago) and had an extremely unfortunate experience.

The waiter (I wish I knew his name. But, he's a lean guy with multiple piercings - if that helps to identify) answered, "No! No!" (in German) when we asked him "place for two?".

There were plenty of places available inside/outside and it wasn't even closing time. We simply wanted to have a drink but even after asking the waiter twice - if we can sit or if they have a place for two or if they are open - he replied, "Yes, we are open but, NO" as if he wasn't willing to host us.

Now that's something, isn't it? I would ask the owners to make sure that they have a decent enough staff to maintain a hospitable environment and serve the guests in the way...
