Day Du Mayen — Restaurant in Mayen

I was there on a Sunday afternoon while passing through Mayen. It seemed to be a popular place for the residents. The food was flavorful and with a bit of twist which made the dish more interesting than predictable (e.g. a piece of pineapple in curry along with fresh lettuce for crunch on top). The prices were slightly on the higher side (the picture of a menu in the reviews has either old prices or from a different place). Hatte in der Mittagspause das Menü12 zum Mitnehmen für den Feierabend bestellt und es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Konnte die Bestellung ohne Warten zur vereinbarten Zeit abholen. Zu Hause angekommen waren die Sushi und Nigiri immer noch schön in Form - nichts ist auseinandergefallen! Es war genügend Wasabi, Ingwer und Sojasoße dabei. Geschmacklich hat es uns auch sehr überzeugt und finde es schön, dass selbst das Sushi "to-go" noch so liebevoll angerichtet wurde. Wir werden uns auf jeden Fall nochmal wiedersehen! :)

Kurzer Nachtrag nach paar Monaten: auch vor Ort ist bisher alles bestens gewesen. Wer in Mayen arbeitet kann auch sehr gut von der Mittagskarte bis 15 Uhr profitieren (mit Getränk kommt man unter 20€). Zwischen 14 und 15 Uhr ist es meist auch etwas ruhiger, wenn man vom Trubel auf der Arbeit einfach mal abschalten will. 😌 Einführung der Kartenzahlung wäre...

Super nice service, good location, cozy! Little too loud when it got full. Sadly the food was not making me happy. (Personal opinion). But I have to say, I feel like it's more a fusion restaurant. The intense taste of different asian styles was not given. Maybe I personally hoped...
