Himalaya Indische Spezialitäten — Restaurant in Mayen

Its a halal indian restaurant! Unfortunately I did not see they mentioned anywhere but my husband did called the restaurant first and asked. I’m from Malaysia and this is legit very authentic and so delicious! They even have option normal, scharf and sehr scharf, I chose sehr scharf because i thought it will not be so spicy as mostly in Germany they tried to cater for Germans who did not eat spicy. But surprisingly its so spicy and i am super satisfied!!! Definitely will come again. Oh ya the portions huge, we ordered 1 beef okra and 1 kirberbscheen curry. Both comes with rice and bread. As I was at the Nürburgring, this was the closest Indian restaurant I found on Google maps. Nice village, though narrow streets and parking options are limited but available at 150m. The menu is very extensive, every dish properly explained. Very reasonable prices, very big portions. Very tasteful, presented in traditional way. Service is very friendly. Didn't take pictures, I rather eat than look at it 😁. In short: you won't be disappointed...

Wir haben schon mehrfach bei Himalaya bestellt, abends gegessen (zuletzt gestern) und auch vor ca. 2 Wochen für eine private Feier Catering bestellt. Es war jedes Mal wirklich lecker, der Kontakt ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend und auf besondere Wünsche (vegan etc) wird super eingegangen. Bestellungen dauern manchmal etwas länger, was wohl einfach am großen Andrang an den Wochenenden liegt. Das Essen war aber stets heiß und hat top geschmeckt. Noch besser ist es allerdings vor Ort. Service ist super, man bekommt auf Wunsch auch immer noch etwas mehr Reis oder Brot und vor Allem schmecken die Gerichte ganz frisch einfach nochmal einen Tick besser. Gerade Gerichte wie Paneer Jhalfrezi o.Ä. werden brutzelnd auf einem Pfännchen an den Platz gebracht und schmecken dadurch einfach nochmal wesentlich frischer. Das Ambiente ist simpel, aber trotzdem liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Catering war ebenfalls super, alles Pünktlich und durchdacht, das Essen wurde in der Wohnung im 2. Stock schnell aufgebaut. Es gab mehr als reichlich von den bestellten Gerichten, dem Reis und Brot. Die Rückgabe der leeren Behälter war unkompliziert. Sie wurden am nächsten Tag gleich abgeholt.
