Gasthof Lindenbad Memmingen — Restaurant in Memmingen

I have stayed at the Lindenbad 5 or 6 times the last two years, sometimes by myself, sometimes with other family members. The owners take good care of their guests. There is no elevator, the rooms are all located upstairs, but the owners are very happy to assist with the luggage. The rooms are simply furnished and clean. The atmosphere is pleasant. The food is very good, as a matter of fact, I am craving Mr. Herbs Wurstsalat right now. It is a sausage and cheese salad, simply delicious, served with fresh bread. I stayed here one night, arriving quite late and departing fairly early. My single room was simple, clean and nice. The shower and toilet down the hall were very, very small - in hindsight, paying a little extra for a private bathroom would have been a better choice. Although situated on what appears to be a main road, the guesthouse was quiet. Breakfast was good and worth the extra 5 euros. Small hotel in the center of Memmingen, close to train station and historical center. Building itself is from 19th century very well renovated. Ground floor is a typical Swabian restaurant with local food. 2 upper floors are rooms. I was staying in last floor, rooms are basic but very clean, hot water, comfortable bed, shower, TV - everything what you need while stopover here, as in my case.
