Finally, we found a truly authentic German restaurant! The food was incredibly tasty — rich in flavor and felt just like a home-cooked meal.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was genuinely kind and attentive. It seems like a family-run place, which adds to the charm. The space is quite small, with only about six tables, so it did feel a bit stuffy at times. Also, the prices are on the higher side — but to be fair, the quality of the food and service made it worth it.

Read moreWe ordered Mittenwalder schnitzel and goulash from the local game. The schnitzel is very delicious, but the potato is overcooked and tasted bitter. I highly recommend it! But the goulash is not that good… it is super dry… and unfortunately, they is indeed prepared in microwave in their small kitchen, I have to say that the flavor is much better than what you can expect from the microwave. We also tried Mittenwald beer, very good! Maybe because we speak English, so the service was not that good. Atmosphere was okay, just tables were too crowded....
Read moreWhat a great little place; only 5 inside tables make it very cozy. Two-person operation focus on a small menu that focuses on (surprise!!!): potatoes. Had a great cream of potato soup with wieners... something you seldom see these days...and it was super; flavorful and filling. Small salad had greens, corn, cuke and kraut salads. Strudel was as good as any and served warm. Prices are very reasonable. One of the best places in Germany for simple good local food I've eaten at in past 40 years of travelling and working. Highly recommended...
